"Doing Family Therapy" by Robert Taibbi provides a practical, `no- nonsense' guide and manual to clinical practice working with family work. As a textbook on the doctorate or grad level, this book may not be the best choice for empirical research based principles and peer-reviewed academic level work. As a new student, I believe this book helped shape my understanding of the basics of Family Therapy because I am new to the field. I would recommend this book to those who are new to Family Therapy practice and need a pragmatic guide as a reference with their work.

This is a great book for any clinician interested in working with families. By the end of this book, you will be excited about working with families and feel more confident in your work.

A very useful and easy read. One of my favorites in my graduate program.

Great read for students obtaining their BSW or MSW. Not set up as a standard textbook, easy and quick to read with great examples and questions at the end. THANK YOU to the author for not making another boring textbook.

The author has empathy for the anxiety of new clinicians. He provides helpful guidelines and illustrative case study discussions. Great text for a beginning family therapy class.
