Sugar-Free Classic Petits Fours from The Wisconsin Cheeseman

Love the sugar free Petite Fours. Husband must watch his sugar intake. We were both able to enjoy them with no worries. Ordered some for sisters birthday.

The petit fours got good reviews, but the ones I received might have been on the shelf too long. I love chocolate, so I was disappointed with the chocolate coating. The cakes were dry and the center filling barely there. After eating some of them, I put them aside and ended up throwing some away.

Delicious but addictive and very very small in fact too small for the buck but if you feel like treating yourself then these are them.

These arrived on time and in beautiful condition ... fresh, moist and delicious. Unfortunately, I didn't realize when I ate five pieces that the primary ingredient is MALTITOL, probably the deadliest sugar substitute in modern civilization. Three hours later my intestines were a nuclear holocaust, a condition that lasted well into the night and ruined my birthday. There's a "laxative effect" warning in six-point type on the nutritional information label on the bottom of the box, but if food has to come with ridiculous threats like that it shouldn't even be on the market. It's time for manufacturers of sugar-free products to find and use ingredients that don't make their customers sick!

My mother, who has had type I diabetes for 50 years, raves about these little pastries. She's seen diabetes friendly foods go from practically inedible to passable to quite good, and she says that the Wisconsin Cheese Man products are by far some of the best she's ever tasted. Believe me, from my mom that is high praise indeed…

These sugar free petit fours have no bad aftertaste, are rich and creamy and I will definitely purchase them again.
