Perfect for upgrading Honda battery
2011 v4 accord going from a 51R to a 35. I threw the tray away and used just the hooks and the bracket and it worked perfectly, I’m pleased with the quality and value

Inexpensive, but substantial
I replaced the small 51R battery in my Honda CR-V with a Group 35, which has a higher capacity and was actually $10 cheaper. But the 35 is wider than the 51R, so the original battery tray would not fit. This Camco tray is designed for 24/24M batteries, but it's wide enough to hold the 35. It's heavier and more substantial than I expected, given the low price. The tray fit easily into the space where the original tray had been. Installation was very easy. The stock j-hooks and top bracket fit the 35 battery well, although the taller 35 battery didn't leave enough threads at the top of the j-hooks to fit the OEM plastic wire holders (which I fixed with a couple of plastic zip ties). Since I only needed the bottom tray, the threaded rods and the top bracket went into my box of "things that I might use for some future project".

Meh
I mean it's not bad, it does the job. But I'd just get a metal one to be safer, this one's a bit flimsy.

Worth every penny when used as a battery tray
I'm not sure what some people are using this battery hold down tray for that is causing them so many issues but I'm happy with it. It's inexpensive but with that in mind maybe you shouldn't get your expectations too high. This is a "HOLD DOWN" tray and not a structural shelf or ledge. It's meant to hold the battery in a secure position on a defined flat structural surface. Emphasis on structural surface as a lead acid battery is going to weigh about 40-60 lbs and this is only semi ridgid plastic. The tray is attached to the structure with fasteners that you supply. If your installation doesn’t meet this criteria than I would look elsewhere. Maybe a battery box you can lash to something structural. No I wouldn't even think about using this on an ATV or any type of off-road "YAHOOOO" vehicle.

Good quality but it has to be modified to work
The parts in this kit are well made without question but as others have said you made have to modify them to work in your vehicle. I needed the kit for a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder. The plastic tray did not fit so I could not use it. The hold down rods are long as also has been stated before, so be careful there is clearance before closing your hood so you don't dent or put a hole in it. However the rods are heavy duty that I was able to cut the rods with a hacksaw and bend them in a vice for the hook. This way I didn't harm the threads. The rods worked great after that which in the end is just what I needed as the old ones rusted out and broke off. I gave it three stars only because I could only use parts of the kit but I give it five stars for solving my problem and now my battery is secure. If I had to I would purchase it again unless I found one that better fit the vehicle I was repairing.

I use that for my 99 Civic, best thing for my Civic. Bolt with self tapper, which is strong, I was running a Dodge Caliber SXT 2010 Battery in my 99 Civic and it was a track car, not even broken ! was a solid mount !

La compré pensando que cabría para un Civic 2001 pero no fue así, ni cortando la, aunque se sentía bastante sólida y los tornillos ajustadores me los quedé y me funcionaron perfecto.
