Great For Peeling Vegetables Too!
Try this cheese slicer for peeling vegetables. You may never go back to the niggling old fashioned peelers. I've used a cheese slicer to peel vegetables my entire life. This design peels carrots, potatoes, zucchini, egg plant, celery, you name it and does so tons faster than a traditional vegetable peeler. I bought this cheese slicer because it looks so much like my vintage Danish cheese slicer that has been in constant use since 1964. (I was 13 when family bought it home from the New York Worlds Fair.) The wood handle on that one is finally giving out on me. This slicer works just as well as my heirloom! And it feels just the same in my hand (which is a size 7.5 womens glove). It sliced cheese fine for me, but I was more interested in how quickly it would peel a potato. I like making big vats of vegetable soups and stews. To prolong the life of any wooden handled implement, I hand wash and dry. I don't know if this peeler will also last 56 years. That's maybe asking a lot. It would outlive me if it did. But it seems well made in comparison to most contemporary kitchen tools and I hope it will stick around. I think these make great gifts.

If you want perfectly sliced cheese, this is your ticket.
My parents gave me a cheese slicer that my mom had gotten in Sweden more than 4 decades ago. It sliced cheese perfectly, even after 40 decades of consistent use. Tragically, we left it at a lake house this summer on vacation (yes, I loved it so much, I brought it with us on vacation). I was surprised when I saw how much they cost online. I thought I hit the jackpot when I found a similar cheese slicer at a thrift store recently for $1. It was trash. Cheese crumbled, broke off big pieces, and didn't slide easily. The blade was dull. It went in the trash and I ordered this one. This one works as perfectly as the one my parents gave me. It was like being reunited with an old friend. I am back to enjoying slicing cheese again. You will not regret this purchase! Thank you, Boska, for a great quality product.

A Great Design
My significant other called this type of cheese slicer one of their favorites. I got this model for the kitchen, and for them as a gift, as they hadn't had one for years. It's genuinely a great type of slicer, seemingly modeled after the cutting edge of a traditional wood planer. Feels like a lost design, as not only does it cut fairly consistent slices of cheese with minimal effort, it also cleans incredibly easily, and wears slow to boot! I've heard it said you can use one of these things for many years with no more maintenance than standard cleaning, and I believe it.That said, I do want to make sure you're aware of its potential failings, as well. Namely, at least with this particular product, the slices it makes tend to have a somewhat feathery edge to them. There is also a tendency for the back end of a cheese block to experience some blow-out as the pulling action of the tool causes the material to pull off in a chunk once it's too weak to stand firm against the cutting edge. I'm not sure if this is a resolvable issue, or if it is inherent to the design, but I do find it notable and worth mentioning. So on the whole, it's a good product, but it may be more useful for some cheese types than others. I'd say give it a try, though. If you like it, it will last a long while.

Best Cheese Slicer Made
Hands down, the ultimate in cheese slicers. So easy, works well on soft or hard cheese. Keep out of dishwasher to preserve wood handle. I oil mine once in awhile so that it remains in good shape.

Best slicer ever made.
I ordered this knife just so I’d have another one. I truly believe this is the best slice made. I even use it to slice cold butter to put on toast. Worth the money. Would definitely purchase again, and it would make a great gift for the holidays or for a house warming

Does a Great Job for Soft and Hard Cheeses
It does a great job, I've been using it for over a month and it really helps slicing cheese at parties and whenever I just want a good snack. It has worked well with harder cheeses which previously I had an issue with them coming off in chunks, with this I get nice clean slices.

Best wallet I've ever owned
It's just the greatest. I bought this after watching saddleback's "how to knock off a saddleback bag" video on youtube, and I really love it. I can trust that the leather is high quality and that the stitching won't go out like my last wallet! It's skinny enough to work in my front pocket but it's a little bulky, which I don't mind if it means it's going to last!Spending 40$ to never buy a wallet again? What a steal.r/buyitforlife

TINY!
I know that the description said "mini" for these, but I was't prepared for just how mini. The knives are very small. It's really difficult to hold onto the knife to try to cut or scoop the cheese. The quality seems fine- it's just more of a "practical" issue with these. Because of the difficulty using them, I would not recommend them. Had my husband not thrown the box away when they arrived, I would have returned them.
