Not keto, carb counts WRONG. WASTE OF MONEY
Another disappointing “keto vegan” cookbook. It’s definitely not keto and the net carb calculations are way off (the one I checked actually had twice the net carbs as stated ). Butternut squash, yellow squash, beets are some of the non keto ingredients used in the recipes. Also it seems that, like many other books, they just put “vegan” in front of some of the cheeses, etc without realizing that these vegan cheeses are actually not low carb. Also many, many typos (“diary” instead of dairy in many places. The 14 day meal plan has no shopping list and would result in tons of leftovers because each day has different recipes. This is just laziness. So disappointing. I’d return it but I’d only net about 3 dollars in return.

disappointing for a true vegan who cares about eating whole foods and healthy
The author doesn't seem to be too familiar with the vegan diet. Ingredients like gelatin and worcestershire sauce are certainly not vegan. I personally prefer making my food from scratch, using whole foods but these recipes require buying a bunch of heavily processed ingedients (vegan mayo, multiple vegan cheeses, vegan butter). I also don't care much for "cooking" in a microwave

Gelatin is NOT Vegan but excited about recipes
Pretty excited to try the recipes, found one recipe that has 2 amounts of ground flax with one portion not mentioning what measurement is for( easy to figure out)For those who are going vegan to "be healthy" and dont care if animal products pop in their food now and then, the following complaint is a big deal for ethical vegans... Page 86 for the panna cotta dessert uses gelatin.... Gelatin is made from beef. Agar agar is the plant based "gelatin" but i can only assume the author used regular moo based gelatin. For me no big deal

Not impressed
This book was a waste of money, for me. As a vegan, I don't own or use microwaves. To much in this books requires them. Also, many ingredients that I'm not familiar with or interested in. whole foods are best.

Badly written book
A clue to what awaits readers of this book is given right at the start as there is no publisher's name, no address to write to, no telephone number, no e-mail. It reads as if the author is not an English-speaker and used a Google translation. Is Jamie a woman or a man? He or she gives us an unedited book with many spelling and grammatical mistakes, in addition to sentences we just do not use in English. For example, on page 32 we have a "Beet Tofu Salad" which includes the following introduction: "Beets always make an appearance making the salad mouthwatering at the instant sight." That's not English. But good luck to this person, maybe the recipes really are mouthwatering.

Gross!!
The author must have stock in cream cheese or mayonnaise. They are common ingredient in many of the recipes. Do not buy, very disappointing!

a lot of typos, no pics
I like pictures, what can I say. The recipes sound delicious. I have yet to make one. Pretty good info, but definitely a lot of typos. No grocery lists or anything...so you just have to compile it yourself. I'm one lazy dieter though, so take this review w a grain of salt. I'll update if I make any of his recipes for sure, but for now, its a 3 for me.

Fantastic book, great menu plan.
Excellent little cookbook. Yes there’s a few typos, and no pictures. But the intro text to each recipe is delightful. The recipes are very clever. I love the use of flax throughout the recipes. Ingredients are easily acquired at regular grocery store. The bread recipes are so good. I love the 14 day menu plan, exactly what I was looking for. My kids and husband love the recipes as well.

Very basic starter cookbook - average at best
This is a very cheaply made book - but it's fine for the price. No pictures is a real down side and the main reason this was a disappointing and uninspiring book.Overall it's ok, but there are probably better starter books.I found the recipes pretty uninspiring, I was keen to give vegan a go and thought I'd try a few of the lunch / dinners, as they'd be comparable with the Blood Sugar Diet - However, it's unclear if the "nutrition facts" are for a serving or the recipe. They say per serving but I'm not convinced. This is in American English, which is a bit irritating as you need to convert cups and other antiquated measurements to something meaning full (i.e. gram, °C, etc.). Plus a lot of the names of vegetables are different. I had to annotate eat recipe before I started.
