Simon says you need to read this book
Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland fans, meet your new Hot Hero: Dr. Simon Hogue. He wears his scrubs in a way that both his frontal and dorsal views are accentuated, and he knows exactly what it takes to please a woman. AND he has a hot British accent. He is All The Things.Oh, get your minds out of the gutter. He knows how to clean a kitchen, drop off a kid at school, and pull a fish hook out of your bum. And, okay. He's good at the other stuff, too.Ward and Keeland know how to tell a story with humor and poignancy, and that skill is quite apparent in this book. Bridget, a widowed mother of an eight-year-old son, is slowly coming out of the fog of her husband's death two years earlier. She rents a garage apartment to Simon, and the two become friendly. You can see where this is heading, even if they can't. Simon doesn't want to because he's convinced himself that he will never be in a relationship, much less have a child, and Bridget is scared to death. It isn't just her heart at stake, you know. One thing I really liked about this book is that Ward and Keeland do not use Bridget's son for pathos, nor is he a convenient plot point. He is every bit the character that Simon and Bridget's friends are. Through him, you learn more about Bridget and Simon as you watch them interact with him. What you really want to about are the sexy times, though, right? Never fear, girls. Ward and Keeland use just the right amount of delicious detail to make you squeeze your thighs in a desperate attempt for release, and they will do that gloriously. The hot headboard rocking scorches the page, so consider yourselves warned. There are some wonderfully sweet moments, too, and there are some characters you wish you could shake mercilessly. The heart of this book is Simon and Bridget, and you will love them.Heart and heat. Two things Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland write very, very well.

Worth the Wait
5 Steamy StarsWelcome to the story of a lost soul from across the pond that holds a secret of one butt with a double fishhook in it as Simon takes the hook out of said butt it begins a journey like no other you have read before.Amaze-balls is the first word that pops into my head after reading this sensation of a book.***Buyer Beware*** should be labeled on it.The sensuality, the frustration, the temptation not to mention the hot sex is surely enough for anyone to gasp. The trials and tribulations that both Bridget and Simon go through are not for the weakest of hearts. Each has their own struggles going on within, but Bridget's son Brendan seems to be the sticky dot that brings two struggling souls to face their ultimate fears to become whole again in each of their own rights. Is this enough though? This story does come with an HEA but the author takes takes the long way around and I for one am so glad that she did.PS: I waited so long for this book to come out I couldn't put it down. Subway was dinner and the cell phone off. It's just that good.Happy Sexy Hot Reading

The doctor is in and writing some very detailed, dirty talking prescriptions!
The Dynamic Duo... Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward have done it again and released another exceptional romance loaded with humor, emotional angst, and sizzling hot sex! Dear Bridget, I Want You is guaranteed to become another best seller! It all begins in the ER with a sexy, dirty talking, British doctor and a patient with fishhook in her butt. That should be embarrassing enough but having the wrong day of the week underwear on and a smart mouthed doctor noticing takes the cake. Bridget is mortified but also very turned on. Thank God she had the foresight to go to a different hospital instead of the one she works in to take care of this embarrassing delicate mishap. She won't have to see Dr. McHottie, Dr. Hogue again. Little does she know this is just the beginning of her adventures with this sexy doctor.Bridget has reached her thirties and is a widow and single mother. She works as an ER nurse and struggles to make ends meet after the accidental death of her husband. Being a single, working mother of an eight year old boy is challenging. Trying to hold onto her home and give her son the same kind of life as he had while his father was alive is consuming. She doesn't have time for herself let alone dating. She's still grieving her husband and the life they once had. After two years her inner woman is beginning to awaken but she's not quite ready to put herself back in the game. That is until the sexy doctor rents out her mother in law apartment and also joins the staff at the hospital she works at. There's no escaping this dirty talking, fun loving doctor that has taken over her life.Dr. Simon Hogue came to the United States to study medicine. He's in his last year of residency before he returns home to England to begin his practice as a doctor. He's dedicated his life to helping others and has a great bedside manner with all his patients. His great bedside manner extends beyond his professional life and all the ladies want the sexy doctor's attention. Simon has no intention of settling down nor does he want children of his own. He has his future mapped out until he meets Bridget.Their lives are on very different paths. Their futures are in different countries. Their passion for one another is undeniable. What begins as a fun flirtation turns into an emotional journey for all three of them. Life has a different plan.Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward have once again delivered a magical romance that makes the heart beat faster and makes you swoon. I think all the readers are going to need Dr. Hogue to treat their romantic ailments. Don't worry... the doctor is in and writing some very detailed, dirty talking prescriptions! Too bad our favorite little goat and Aussie vlogger didn't hit the ER with their expert advice... it would of made this book perfect.

Disappointing
I've read most of these authors books and this is the 2nd one I've not liked. It's cheesy, predictable and not very original. I've got almost half way, and debating whether to finish or just skip to the end! It's as if they have ran out of ideas and gave up trying to write decent funny material like they used to.Disappointed to say the least. And where in the chuffing hell did they come up with the name Calliope? I know it's Greek mythology, but...really?

Doctor and nurse
This story begins when British doctor Simon on a three months secondment in America takes a fishing hook out of the bottom of nurse Bridget. What follows is a love story between Simon and Bridget with some exciting sensual and erotic elements.Their relationship could have ended with Simon going back to England permanently. But the power of love is demonstrated when he is offered a job in the UK and declines it against his parents wishes. He can't stomach the thought of any other man touching her. He does not want children but he befriends Bridget's son and shows that he is prepared to treats him as his own. Hooked on Dr. Hogue.
Ah, what another bloody brilliant book by these two talented authors. I LOVED Simon. Dirty mouthed, dirty in the bedroom, he was fantastic to read. I loved Bridget too. Her circumstance is something a lot of women can relate to and her feelings and thoughts were written exceptionally well. There are some books where I drop off to snoozeville but every line had me desperate for the next.Absolutely couldn't put it down. The twist at the end had me gasping aloud but it was the chemistry between the two leads that had me rooting for them every inch of the way.Incredible story. Thanks ladies and can't wait for your next collaboration.

Oh yes, a definate favourite.
This is a really enjoyable read, some very interesting characters with plot lines that seamlessly propel the story along. Initially I listened on youtube, then 'read' it a second time on my kindle with audible as I had loads of "craft work to catch up on.Zachary Webber's voice, like molten chocolate, wasn't a trial either! One point that did grate was the use of (unknown) american slang, thank goodness for Google, and the misuse of some english slang .....'jobby' definately _not_ the meaning in UK that is offered in the text !!

a very beautifully written and composed novel
What a totally endearing story about a doctor and a nurse. These two authors are phenomenal together, and independently. This storyline has romance, intrigue, twists and trust issues, humour and comedic situations. Bridget and Simon, a very beautifully written and composed novel. I advise anyone who has never read any of this duo to give it a go, I promise if romance is your style then you won't be disappointed . Ever.
