Jade Professional Yoga Mat - Raspberry - Long - 3/16" x 74 [Kitchen]

I've used this about ten times now, and I still slip in the hand area. NOt as bad as on a cheap mat, but slipping is the exact opposite of fun in a yoga class. It does smell a little bad. Arrived a day late. BUT, I do think I'm getting better w the slipping. I use a towel and dry my hands. I think giving it a 4 is generous. It's heavy too.

I'm 5'11" and (apparently) I have sweaty palms and soles of the feet. Every other mat that was supposed to be "sticky" did not work. I purchased a Jade mat on the recommendation of my yoga instructor and I couldn't be happier. The "long" length is perfect for me and gives me ample room for all of the asanas. There was a *slight* odor to the mat upon first arrival but I simply opened it up and left it on my (shaded) back patio for 36 hours or so and it was fine.

Been doing yoga half my life and should have invested in this mat long ago. No more slipping hands or feet from first use on. Was concerned about rubber smell being overwhelming but is tolerable, though noticeable. Researched several high end mats. All have + and - this was the compromise I was willing to make. Mat is heavier than typical Gaiam but not as heavy as some other high end mats. Will pick up lint and particles from the floor so I use super thin cheap mat underneath to keep mat cleaner.

I'm a yoga instructor and needed a good sticky mat for vinyasa class. I use a manduka black pro for when I take and teach hot yoga, but it's WAY too slippery for vinyasa without a towel. This mat fits the bill perfectly, it has great grip! The color is really pretty too. Just scrub it down good and let it air out, as it takes a few weeks for the strong rubber smell to go away.

I love everything about this mat. At first, it definitely smelled when I got it, but I let it lay flat for a few weeks when I got home and the smell is gone. It is slippery after the first wash, but that is to be expected with every yoga mat. After a few washes I no longer slip and it is in fact really grippy. I highly recommend this mat.

I love this mat; in fact, it's the second one that I have purchased. Even though I'm not particularly tall, I really appreciate the extra long option which allows me to go through my yoga flow without a lot of adjustments of my position on the mat. The colors are nicely muted and mellow.

This is a great mat, it has some cushion to it but also reduces slippage. Since it is made out of rubber there is an initial rubber smell. I have been airing my out as much as possible to get rid of it.

This mat rocks my world. Way better than any other yoga mat I've ever used. Costs a little more, but grip strength and slippage isn't an issue compared to cheap mats you'd buy at a sports store.

Ich nutze die Jade Harmony nun schon ein Jahr lang fast täglich und bin immer noch sehr zufrieden. Sie hat einen super Grip, auch wenn es mal anstrengender wird. Ich würde mich wieder für die 5mm und die Extralänge entscheiden (ich bin 173cm groß). Einzig das Gewicht der Matte ist beachtlich, aber mich stört es nicht, wenn ich dafür eine gut gepolsterte Matte habe.
