RED HEART E300P.8310 Super Saver Yarn, Haute Pooling

I love this yarn. I previously bought another make and was so disappointed that the colours bled into each other, making colour pooling very difficult. The red Heart yarn only has a limited colour sequence so the Argyll effect is not as intricate as with the other yarn but it is so simple to use and there is no bleeding between the colours. Like some other customers I found the yarn a bit stiff but yes it does soften on washing. I've ordered several more balls and can't wait to start working on my pullover when they all arrive.

This yarn is fantastic with great consistency in its colour ways; this is essential in planned pooling. The finished work will be beautiful.

I loved this yarn and its bright colors! It made for a beautiful christmas like beanie. However, I gave it four stars because I found it a bit rough to work with (but the end result is NOT itchy or scratchy and it has a good strech to it). Also, because the skein is not as big as I thought it would be but I was able to finish this beanie and still have half the yarn left over to make another one just like it. I'm a little concerned as to wether the colors will bleed if washed but I won't be able to update this part of the review since this beanie is being donated to a hospital. But overall, I loved the yarn and the end result. I paid $3 for it when Amazon lowered its price, so I feel good about the value for money part but I honestly don't think I would ever pay the $9 that Amazon is currently selling it for.

My wife said it would get softer after you washed it. I don't know because she gave away the blanket before I saw it washed. I love working with soft yarn. Good yarn just not soft.
