Charged as expected and worked as planned for my Sony camcorder

I was skeptical given many of the negative reviews but I was really desperate for an extra battery with my kid’s upcoming 2 hour performance that is JUST longer than my existing battery can handle, even with a 15 minute charge at intermission. I was looking for an NP-FH40 for my ancient Sony DCR-SR45 really hoped that this would fit the bill since this was the only one I could get within a day. I ordered it last night and it arrived this afternoon and promptly charged it. I just did a test run and am able to record for the hour I need (with 15 minutes or so to spare). I am VERY pleased with the purchase.

My HandyCam is quite old be tech standards, so I didn't really expect to find a replacement battery. This one works perfectly.

I was a bit suppressed when I was reading reviews on the battery not being the same size but, I compared to the official Sony one and its a match for the size. Great price for the product as compared to Sony one.

This battery is very long lasting and always ready to go to work.

Did not fit my Sony, mechanically it was a very tight fit, electrically, charger light flashed quickly indicating that it was not charging properly Or there was an issue with the battery, I ended up returning it.
