Apparently its okay to expect more from this guitar than you would from another "cheap" guitar
While there is no such thing as "cheap" when talking about the price of a guitar (that isn't a toy), this one is above what one would easily expect of a "cheap" guitar. I would even go so far as to say that in my 30 + years of owning/learning/playing guitars, I've never purchased one that I didn't immediately have to file down the nut, adjust the bridge, reset the neck etc, just to get the action set so that it wasn't painful to play... in layman's terms... most guitars , when purchased new, have the strings set so high above the neck that you have to press so hard on them to play, it can be so painful that you dread picking up the instrument... this scares alot of people off from learning in the first place, or makes it very hard to focus on learning.I don't usually do reviews... I can only echo what the other good reviews have already pointed out... its a $140.00 price tag... so don't expect perfection.. but I simply had to mention the action, as I didn't see where anyone else had mentioned it.. Out of the box, the action is as good as any guitar I have (all of which were taken to a local shop where they had to be adjusted to be playable). I will be changing the strings out to something more to my liking, you'll probably want to do the same, however they'll do fine if you're a beginner and just want to get started. But again, my main purpose of this review is focused on the playability of this guitar. I took it out of the box, tuned it (tuner worked well) with the strings it had on it already, and played it rough for around an hour to stretch the strings good, retuned it, then played for 4+ hours, and it only went a little flat in that time. Wipe the strings down really good, this will prevent "some" of the graying that will happen to your finger tips from the new strings, and enjoy it.I rated it overall 5 stars, because it is "more" than I should expect for the price. For that same reason, I also rated the features 5 stars each. The Craftsmanship is "better" than you should expect for the price. The action makes it very easy on the fingers (when compared to "cheap" guitars) which makes it much easier to focus on learning chords/method when beginning so because of that AND the price, it gets 5 stars for "for beginners". For a "full size" acoustic guitar, they don't get any "easier to hold", so it gets 5 stars for that.Tuner: worksAmp: it is a 10w practice amp, and it worksEQ/Preamp: works quite well, was surprised at the bass I was able to get on the small ampThere is a small scuff mark on the face which was covered with finish before it was spotted, but its easily overlooked for the price.I haven't seen this playability straight out of the box on a guitar less than $300.00(and pawn shop guitars are often even less playable as they've been abused by everyone wanting to "try it out" while it was there)

Great beginner guitar, not for anyone else.
Great beginner guitar, it sound decent, it looks good, it doesn't sound bad plugged in either. I got it for a cheap travel acoustic that I didn't have to worry about as much. I changed the strings to elixir lights, put a bone nut and saddle on it (lowering the action at the same time), I can't get the action down to my liking though because the bridge is so tall and I can't go any lower with my saddle without sitting on the bridge. It doesn't stay in tune that well so recommend putting locking tuners on it as well.

The guitar is great but our bag had a hole in it
The guitar and Amp worked great but we had 2 issues. The first is that it came with no instructions so we had to guess what kind of batteries the built in equalizer needed. The second is that the guitar bag had a hole in it. We can't figure out how to replace the bag so that's disappointing. But other than those 2 things, it was great.

Definitely worth the money
Bought this for my daughter, she absolutely loves it. I do too. Excellent acoustic guitar for the price. Craftmanship seems to be solid. Sounds and plays well. I definitely recommend.

get what you pay for
you are buying a guitar, amp, tuner, picks, guitar bag, etc. for $150, and you get what you paid for. i had a lot of trouble with my strings when i got it, after a couple youtube tutorials and about an hour or two of trial and error i was able to restring it. so far the amp doesn't work; not sure if the issue is the amp or the cables but it's disappointing regardless. instrument does NOT come with a capo, although one is pictured, but all the utilities it comes with work fine. the guitar bag is next to useless as it is thin and cheap and doesn't do much protecting of your guitar. overall the instrument itself is relatively cheaply made but this does not have a big effect on the quality of the sound. i am a beginner and this was my first guitar, so i'm not too disappointed as i wasn't expecting a high quality professionally made guitar. i recommend it as a cheap starter guitar, but definitely don't buy this if you're looking for a more high quality instrument

Beautiful guitar
This is a great setup for the money. The guitar is beautiful, sounds great and the small amp is great for a house or garage playing. However they call the guitar black, it’s not all black and might upset someone if they want a solid black guitar. The face looks more like a charred black wood grain and the sides and neck are a cherry wood color. I think it’s gorgeous though. I think the bad reviews on the amp are actually user error. You pretty much have to have the volume on the guitar all the way up to hear it through the amp and then you can control the volume from the amp. Plus the guitar needs a 9 volt battery in the controller that is not included in the kit. I highly recommend this for beginners and even experienced players. Had it for a month, play it about an hour every night and so far so good. Holds tune very well too.
