Good scratching post for the price
My cat has been bad about trying to scratch the furniture so I needed to provide her a safe spot to scratch on. When she uses this it works great. You cannot really lean it up on a wall or couch as it will fall easily but I used clear fishing line to hang it around the corner of the couch and it works. Now teaching a cat where it is okay to claw and scratch is a whole different chore....

Nice Fit around Corner
I like the idea of a corner scratch pad for my three cats, and they love it. However, within one week they had the sisal pulled out and fraying badly at the top where it was under the fuzzy trim covering it. Now it sags badly. The pad has been up for them now for a couple months. They use it multiple times every day. The sisal is quality barely showing any results of their scratching, but I really think it should not have come apart at the top so quickly--maybe not at all, or at least, not until they had destroyed more of the sisal cover in another six months or so. The first scratch pad was not a corner pad and much less expensive, but it took them almost two years to destroy it. Another thing to consider is that I had to secure it at the bottom with additional screws as their scratching lifted it and weakened the straps that holds it at the top.

Easy installation
Cats love this! I will be ordering another, possibly 2. I had originally purchased this because my cats were scratching a certain corner in my home. I put it there and they loved it but I noticed they stopped scratching my regular rugs as much as well, so I think I’ll buy a couple more to encourage them to continue using the scratching pads and not my rugs or walls 😂

Straps don't hold
My cats were using one specific corner to scratch, so I figured I'd get this. The two little straps that you use to attach it to the wall.... lasted a whopping one day. I ended up using Gorilla tape to hold it up instead.

Comes right off the wall if they use it
I purchased this back in May and it took me so long to write a review because I literally just saw my cat use this for the second time since. It took a long time for him to even try it to begin with and the second he did the small piece of material used to hang it ripped right through. I made another hole and placed it back on the wall. He just used it for the second time after enticing him and again ripped right down. Method of hanging definitely needs to be more sturdy.

Use long screws! .....
My cat absolutely loves this thing that I had to purchase 2 more. Now I can say that unlike the little leather strips they tell you to fascinate with do not work. I literally screwed the top and bottom of each one through the rope section. I hide the screws underneath the brown fur the best I could but that's the only way it would stay stable enough.

Cheaply made, not as heavy duty as the product I had to replace
I bought a similar product that held up to two gregarious kitties for four years. I finally had to order a replacement so ordered this. Given the current global situation, it took 6 weeks to arrive (not a single one available in the USA apparently). Instead of wood slats or even 1/2 inch particle board, this thing is made from a low quality dense almost cardboard/glue pack material that packed up into the drill bit when making a pilot hole. Instead of a carpet above and below the scratching surface, this has fake fur that also bound up on the drill and screws making it a nightmare to screw to the wall. Two weeks and it is holding so far, but it took the demolition crew three days to figure out the purpose of it so time will tell how it holds up to these two tarzan-ing onto it and launching into their acrobatics from it.

Worked for my barn cats!
My lazy barn cats were using all my wood corners to sharpen their claws. They can really tear up some wood! I installed these using flat-head roofing nails so they laid nice and secure against the posts. Boy, did the cats love them! 25 cats and I am just looking to replace them. They really work like a charm!!
