Inexpensive & just right for what I needed
Had an old stihl hand-me-down weed eater & needed to replace the entire head. Old one was rusted too badly. Perfect replacement, string held up against the toughest weeds even the small oak sprouts. Very happy with the purchase!

Doesn't include mounting screws
I received this trimmer head, looks like it should work well but the seller cheaped out and didn't include the 2 screws to mount this to the power head shaft. Now I have to travel back to town and try to find some 5mm screws.

Dont waste your time or money
Honestly I wouldn't waste your time or money on this. I purchased this to be able to switch between a trimming head and metal blade quickly. There are far too many issues with this product to keep it. I wouldn't expect this gearbox/trimmer head to last long if doing anything other than some very light trimming.Gearbox:It does not fit into shaft without prying apart the casting (bad idea it might break, and yes the shaft on the trimmer is very clean).Casting has porosity in the shaft hole, see pictureIt does Not include the two bolts to secure it to the shaft, and the threading is rough.Trimmer Head:The trimming head is hard to get apart and required a screw to pry/press tabs in. OEM new Stihl autocut head can be taken apart easily using your thumbs in a few seconds. Sure you can carry something to pry it open with you, but this an extra tool and step that is only going to be frustrating slow the process down. Since the plastic is so hard I'm not sure how long it will last bumping until it cracks.

Easily broke on install
The trimmer shaft is slightly larger than the opening. Even the slightest of prying to make it fit broke the cheap metal casting. DO NOT BUY
