Best Rust covering product I ever used it !
This stuff is the best stuff to cover rust and keep it from coming through after you apply the paint ! I would just advise to add a little paint thinner to make it easier to apply ! I used this stuff 20 years ago when I use to have a painting business and I needed it last year and couldn’t find it in the stores I checked ! Then WHAM ! There it was on Amazon ! I was psyched because I was painting a metal exterior door that had some rust and I found the only thing I knew from my past that worked unbelievable ! Great for baseboard heater covers too ! Especially the ones by the bathroom toilet bowls or in bathrooms with showers because they tend to rust all the time !

Seven day cure time
I thought my metal table top was ready to use after one day of drying. Wrong! Cure time is 7 days! I have use this product on other outdoor metal furniture. It does OK stopping rust. I have also used the spay-on black Hammerite which seems to be better at stopping rust.

Application
Does anyone know what to use to apply this with? It pluga up brushes and some roller too fast and disinegrates some roller. It must need a certain type of roller or brush. This seems like a good coating but applying it to railings I found it impossible to apply with a brush, it keeps getting sticky. It goes on pretty good with a roller.

Great answer to rust problems.
This stuff is great for metal rust prublems. I have a wrought iron railing around my porch, always a pain to keep from rusting, untill this hammerite encapsuling paint. Great stuff, somewhat hard to apply with a brush, but self leveling. Best to put on in cooler temp., if real hot like painting with pennut butter. Need lacqure thinner for clean up. The 44260 is White in color even though the pix. shows black.
