Brennan Industries N2404-06-08-SS Stainless Steel Straight Double-Ferrule Tube Fitting, 1/2" NPT Male Thread, 3/8" Tube x 3/8" Male NPT

I bought these to use in my HERMS brewery to couple the ends of the copper coil heat exchanger to the side walls (and then to ball valves) of the hot liquor tank. I had leakage issues during initial leak testing, scrambled and bought delrin insert washers (to replace the stainless ones these come with), but then soon realized I just didn't have the fittings torqued down enough. They have been working perfectly ever since with no leaks (~5 months and 5 brew batches). I looked around at other sites for these, but found that this was a pretty good deal.

This works as expected. I got the .22 wall stainless steel tube. It fit a little loose but worked. Next time I will get the .28 for a better fit.

I can't remember why we bought this but no complaints from the hubs! Kudos!

I bought these to use for my 1/4” temperature sensors in my HERMS system. They are 1/4” but not all the way through.If you plan on using these for sensors be prepared to drill through quite a bit of stainless steel.

Used for connection of copper coils inside my hot liquor tank for my HERMS system. A little tricky to get on, but works like a charm. So far.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! I built and electric brewery setup. I used two of these fittings on my mash tun and after the first time through they rusted. My mash tun is rinsed out and air dried upside down. After two days I flipped over my mash tun and noticed right away the fittings have rust on them. So I am going to replace these with some from Brewhardware.com fittings.

Worked great no leaks on my 50 ft herms coil in my brewhouse.

The fitting works well for what it is designed for and the machining is excellent, but dang it is expensive for a chunk of stainless steel.
