Superbly explained and illustrated
In every respect, this is a superb book: explanations are clear and succinct, format is highly readable (although I would prefer slightly larger font), illustrations are clearly drawn (although I would prefer slightly darker type, some slight shading, and slightly darker lines). This is a superlative value. A significant, polished, enlarged edition would make for a beautiful coffee table book (provided the written text remain as is; additional writing would defeat the purpose of relaxed repose). Highly recommended!

Amazing book and value
I learned how to do vibrato from a a video that described how the larynx tips. I’ve learned the feeling to engage or disengage which feels like pulling back or down right at the junction of the neck and chest. I’m learning how to engage or discharge falsetto or chest voice folds separately. This book is a capable radical and fantastic bargain given the printing cost of all the color diagrams.

A must have
If you’re a singer or a vocal coach or even if you’re an otorrinolaringologist that works with singers. Very descriptive. Vocal coaches talk about sensations but have no idea of where the sound and the confort in singing is being produced. There’s a lot of confusion and this book is very clear and has graphics to help you understand.

Beautiful, accurate illustrations of the muscles of the voice system!
This book is better than any other I have come across so far when describing the anatomy of the voice/airway. I am an Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist and I use this all the time to help my patients understand what is going on and what we want to happen in their breathing. Several of my patients have been able to speed up their speech therapy or have improved in their voice lessons after they have worked in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. We must check the function of the muscles and this book helps me do just that.
