Q: I know it say "microwave safe", but is there any way to confirm this? Most food/science websites say no plastic is "safe" in a microwave. Thanks!

I put one in microwave yesterday with a paper towel covering the food and after 7 seconds the paper towel was on fire with a burn on the plate. They are NOT microwave safe.

Q: They made in the USA?

Not sure. I believe so, But RePlay cup & plates etc are made in USA & are great quality too!, & even more sturdy
