Herb Pharm, Rhodiola Extract, 1 Fl Oz

I love this product! Herbalists know the importance of actually tasting an herb that you are using and how this can help you derive some of its benefit, moreso than just swallowing a capsule. I can best describe the flavor as astringent and rosy. It seriously has an amazing floral flavor. Rhodiola belongs to a class of herbs known as adaptogens. Others in this category include asian ginseng, ashwagandha, maca, eleuthero (S/P?), tulsi and some others. All these herbs share the property of assisting the human being in adapting to various environmental stressors. They all help in support of the adrenal glands and kidneys, but each also have unique properties. Rhodiola specifically is great for increasing cardiovascular capacity, whether you are going to be racing, staying in higher elevations or whatever. It will also decrease recovery time from exercise or hard physical labor. It comes originally from Siberia and helped the Russians survive cold winters due to its ability to improve circulation SPECIFICALLY to the extremities. Now my personal experience with Rhodiola is that it is less heating than other adaptogens. I have a hot constitution, so using asian ginseng, maca or ashwagandha in the warmer months for me is a no no. The astringent, rosy flavor from this herb leads me to believe that it posesses less fire than the others and it is also my experience. The only caution I have is that I have heard of people using too much of this herb and getting over stimulated. This has not happened to me, but I think it is worth it to mention. The Herb Pharm alcohol free tinctures are my favorite. I've tried this herb from "Stakich" I think the company is called and it was weak. This product is pure and strong. I did not receive any free or discounted products for writing this review.

Works great I strongly suggest alcohol free. The alcohol gives it a longer shelf life, helps it absorb into the bloodstream quicker and some might say more potent, however trust and believe; the alcohol free variant is just as potent if not more because I have the alcohol version and the alcohol free version of Rhodiola and Ashwaghanda , the alcohol free variant has a higher milligram. Taking Ashwghanda and Rhodiola together: synergistic effect, they enhance each other. If you don’t know about Rhodiola, you’ll want to add that to your regimen as well . Btw… I like to take my extracts in the morning, something about consuming alcohol in the morning doesn’t resonate with my health conscious spirit. I’m a health nut, I drink raw juices in the morning I don’t think it’s a good holistic practice to consume your herbs with alcohol on a consistent basis if you’re gonna be using it daily, I would prefer alcohol free.

My sleep and focus has greatly increased since using this! The taste is a little weird but I usually just put a couple drops in water and down it quick and it's honestly not bad. It's super effective I can tell such a difference in under a month. I love it's inexpensive as well. I will be purchasing again!

I bought this product because of lack of energy. After more research, I discovered that it may help with anxiety, depression, etc... I'm even more excited to use this product now. I just took a full dropper and the taste isn't bad at all, doesn't smell and it is easy to swallow in 2 oz of water. I feel more awake, alert and 'even' (if that makes any sense). I usually get an upset stomach with supplements, but so far so good. Curious to see where this journey takes me.

It’s been exactly 2 weeks of using it everyday, and I have not felt a difference. I actually bought this product after listening to people on TikTok rave about Rhodiola. I’m constantly tired, always moody, and stressed. I also heard it could help with weight loss. So I tried it. For one, it does not taste good. I’m not even sure how to describe the taste but maybe a little bitter and the taste lingers so if you do try it, make sure you take it with something strong or have a chaser ready. Second, I have no idea what dose I’m supposed to be taking. I followed the instructions on the bottle but that cannot be correct for everyone! I’ve tried doing research to figure it out but I’m just not seeing a good answer. Lastly, I read that it can take awhile so to get my moneys worth and also in hopes that it will work for me, I’m going to continue to take it. I’m going to do more research and see if I can find an accurate dosage for myself. Then I’m going to continue to take it until it’s all gone and then I’ll update this review with hopefully good news!

Great value for money.

I bought this because I needed the extreme focus while in nursing school a year and a half ago. I now can’t go a day without it. It brings focus, calmness, and a more balanced mood. If I don’t take it for one day, I now notice! I was making small mistakes throughout the day at work, skipping things, etc. While taking this, I am iver focused and go through each task with ease! Highly recommend!
