Totally worth it. Please sponser me. @bountyhunter
Well, I've had my LRP for about six-months now, and it has been working way better than I expected. I use it everywhere too. Even at the beach, with the coil up to 1.5 feet in the salt water. Now, it takes some tuning to use it there, but if you're looking for a great entry-level machine, I can certainly recommend this one. It's great on the beach sand. It makes noise sometimes, especially when sweeping from dry sand to wet sand, but if you take some time to learn the machine, it'll work pretty well on the beach. On the beach and on land, I can nearly 100% of the time predict the coin I'm on, or even tell if it's a pop top, or a tab that someone broke off a can. You have to dig those too though. They rig up too similar to gold rings. I can detect a coin to at least 8 inches, and probably more if I changed the settings a bit. It's been a great detector so far. Though I'll upgrade to a machine that I can swim with, I'll be holding onto this one for friends, and as a backup. *Update: So I've now joined the Central Florida Metal Detectors Society, and at the most recent monthly meeting, I got first place in two-categories with items found with the Land Ranger Pro. I know it really burned some of the people with much more expensive detectors. @bountyhunter Please sponsor me. I've got your machine down. *Another update: Just found my first silver dime, or, "Rosie." Stoked. I'd recommend getting a quality pin pointer. Get a Garrett, Minelab, or Nokta Marko pin pointer, and it'll make your life much easier and efficent whilst hunting.

It's a fun and easy detector to use if you want to ...
For the money you really can't go wrong with this detector and what it has to offer. I have had many detectors over the years and I have to rate this in the top 10 of the units I have had some cost hundred of dollars more. It's a fun and easy detector to use if you want to turn on and go with one of the per set programs or you can pick one of the other adjustable programs and set it the way you want along with manual ground balancing. You get a lot for your money with this detector and it's a very good one for someone just starting out or if you like me just want a pick up and go machine for a quick hunt this one is for you. Now then I do have one that's got the hit and miss pp button which I may have it fixed or not since I never had any detector before that had this I have always just listen to sound and note where it is on the ground so no big deal the other thing is I wish Bounty Hunter would do a way with the push in connector, this could come lose if your hunting in the brush. Very happy with this so far.

Helped me find my surveyor stakes. Easy to set up. Easy use. Good sensitivity. Worked great
This is my first metal detector. I got it for one specific purpose. I have a area of land which needs to be surveyed but had been surveyed approximately 30 years ago. I was told there were metal or iron rebar stakes in the ground which probably were covered up and if I could find no stakes I would essentially be able to determine my land area. I did a fair amount of online review. I'm not looking for gold. I'm not looking for buried treasure. I'm not going to be taking this to the beach to find lost wedding rings. I wanted something basic simple but well-made. I wanted something that was easy to use but had good reliability I did a bunch of reviewing and found out that some use noise. Some had meters. Some were based on circular versus elliptical sensor pads. Essentially this item got great reviews. Well-made. Reliable. And pretty much user-friendly. There are some abbreviations which I had to refresh my memory in order to understand what they were referring to. Although once it was set up and turned on, though simple book was easy to understand and I was off and running. Interestingly enough, I found the rebar in the ground fairly quickly. Also of interest is one of the sites that was supposed to be rebar was simply a large iron ferrite stone that had been used because it was felt this was more than adequate. I now have a good lightweight easy-to-use device. It comes in two pieces and takes about one minute to put together. Make sure you have a 9 V battery as not everyone has one of these and it does require a fresh bright it battery to work well So, well-made, lightweight. I can compare to the more sophisticated devices. But in my experience it does a good job and found what I needed

More fun than expected
Selectable modes make it easy to use right out of the box. Lightweight, decent sensitivity. Price was well below other vendors.

I would buy again and again with no regrets.
This is an amazing detector. I have a whites treasurepro that I absolutely love and bought this as a backup and for the girlfriend but I swing this detector a lot!!! The recovery speed destroys the recovery speed of the White's TreasurePro. The coin mode is equivalent to the high trash mode on my treasurepro so when hunting parks this thing is a coin retrieving monster. It will beep here and there but it tells the operator absolutely when there's a good target. If the beep isn't repeatable and tight, it's garbage and move on. The vdi numbers on good targets are so tight they barely move. The target id stays the same it moves maybe one number up or down. My treasurepro can jump around five or more numbers on the scale either direction but repeat enough to confirm a good target, but the bounty hunter (and another fisher detector I own which is also by first Texas) is just amazingly tight with lightening fast recovery speed. The photo is a couple hours spent at a supposedly hunted out park (in an area I'd hunted myself) including 2 wheat back pennies at about 5 inches.

Buen detector con mucha discriminacion entre metales y gran sensibilidad. Merece la pena gastarse un poco mas de pasta en esta maravilla

Bought this starting metal detecting, didn't want to go over the top price wise. Did a bit of research and it's liked in the US, it has functions on it more expensive metal detectors have like Ground Grab etc. It's a First Texas machine who make Teknetics, Fisher as well as Bounty Hunter. From what I'm gathering it's the same machine as the Teknetics Liberator. Already found old buttons and my first coin which was 17th century. Can't compare to other machines but it seems a good machine with all its functions and is light to handle.

It's a great upgrade for me. The pinpointer helps to identify if it's a small target or a larger metal object. The ID is good on older Canadian coins and U.S. coins but newer Canadian currency is harder to decide on so there is still a decision to be made on all signals whether to dig or not. This unit detects deeper than my old one so now I can redo all my old sites and not only find what I missed but deeper items too.
