Brilliant purchase.
This ‘robo cat’ has enhanced my dear friend’s life immeasurably in her nursing home. It provides much needed lighter moments when life becomes tough - a reassuring presence.A bit robotic in movement but the sound track is unbelievably good & entertaining. Expressive!Batteries last many hours and the robot car is ready to go from the outset.Three settings - easy to use and maintain. Little brush works surprisingly well.I have bought two so that one can be in use and the other ‘maintained’. Money well spent.(Amazon delivery immaculate- bought and delivered within 15 hours.)

Lovely. It does lots more than 4 things and feels like a natural cat!
We love this.Okay, it's not as well made as some other expensive soft toys/collector bears, for example, which we have in our house - but that's not what it is! It's a robotic cat, with lovely responses and sounds. It's battery operated too: so that's amazing. You don't have to plug it in! And the price is good.I don't think its uses are limited to a companion pet for the elderly: I think it serves a younger audience, out working all day, who want a cat but can't have one because they're out all day. This fulfils the need for a cat when they come home!It has lovely faux fur and beautiful positioning of the cat's body. It's solid and not like a soft toy. It feels just like a real cat.One reviewer says it does 4 things. That's not true. We got it today and it has done 6 already...maybe more. It purrs, it closes its eyes, it meows, it rolls back, it scratches its face and it does a sweet wake up sigh. It also goes quiet when you leave it, then wakes up again. We will be leaving it on at all times: not muted, either. We love it.Great company too. Big, big love - and many thanks for such an astonishing achievement.Just updating too...having had it for a few days now. It goes to sleep. Doesn't disturb you at all until you want it to be like a real cat seeking fussing. Seems to say a meow like 'hello' when it wakes up again. Gorgeous. Worth every penny.

Absolutely brilliant.
Absolutely brilliant. This cat has saved my mother's mental health once she moved to a care home. She loves animals so being away from her dog was always going to be a risk when she needed more support.A year on he is looking a little shabby from all the love and milk he has been given, but he's carried around and loved by all the residents.

Expensive but worth it.
All the reviews are true, this cat changed my relatives life. Relative with dementia had taken quite a downward turn but after receiving this cat she says, "She finally feels like she has purpose again".I couldn't believe it because I was quite sceptical. That being said I think the price is too high for the quality, the cars robotics are very noisy and the fur adhesion is not fantastic. I am but sure if this is normal or not, I have contacted the company but have not had a reply.

Incredible
A very lifelike ‘companion’ for anyone wanting a pet without all the hassle and cost of owning a real one. This puss does a lot of things that real cats do such as: washing his paw, rolling over for tummy rubs, turning his head and twitching his ears, as well as blinking his lifelike eyes at you. He sighs as he’s falling asleep and upon waking up again. He has several different meows which are all very endearing, including the most realistic purr which vibrates through his fur like a real feline; all in response to petting or movement and changes of light. RoboCat will even call you vocally with a series of trills and meows in the middle of the night, if you leave him switched on! He seems to be on some kind of long timer. However, there is a Mute or Off switch if desired. The slight whirring of the servos is minimal and doesn’t detract from the realism that a toy of this sophistication brings. I find him quite comical actually, he really is a very entertaining pet.The body is unique in that you can feel an inner ‘skeleton’ similar to a real cat, underneath all that fur, which extends throughout the entire body, the limbs and down to the paws. The weight is similar to a real cat and it’s soft in all the right places; it certainly doesn’t feel like a ‘brick’ as one reviewer described it. Even the tail, which someone said is merely two strips of fabric sewn together, isn’t as bad as that. Yes, it’s not stuffed but any filler would make it too stiff and the fur and fabric used give it enough substance to feel like a proper cat’s tail. It’s also designed to drape nicely and tapers at the end so it hangs convincingly. The fur is quality and dyed to mimic a real cat’s markings and it’s very fine textured and soft feeling with a nice length. I would advise brushing it often, with the specific brush provided, to preserve the fine appearance; don’t use a normal hair brush which tends to pull out the fluff. Someone thought the fur so realistic they were worried it might be real but the label clearly says it’s polyester. The battery housing is well hidden beneath the label on its underside and secured with velcro and it’s not difficult to open.I’m impressed with this robotic cat and think the Company have excelled themselves in providing a realistic, highly interactive toy at an affordable price. I will end by sharing some of the attention to detail I particularly like, one of which is his little mouth - a true red colour which includes a pink tongue and two little white pointy teeth! The eyes have proper eyelids and are a nice cat-like shape and emerald green. The little pads on its paws, though made from hard plastic (the only downside as they could have made them from a softer material such as rubber or leather) however, are proper pad-like and the correct pinky colour. It’s two floppy back legs are jointed and can be moved back and forth, as can its front paws. The ears are the right shape and realistic looking even on the inside, the whiskers are long and real feeling and the cat doesn’t need to be constantly petted to emit movement and sound on its own. It’s the proper size, weight and feel of an adult cat.In my opinion there is much attention to detail that as a real cat owner in the past, I can vouch for how funny, endearing and lifelike “Joy For All” cat really is. Ideal for everyone, not just seniors.*Some tips for longevity:*1)I found that when the cat rolls back for a tummy rub, he needs to be on a flat, even surface like a chair, table, or your lap, where he won’t fall off - any RESTRICTION of its movements will cause the motors to whirr noisily and eventually wear out.2)Branded batteries such as Duracell seem to last a lot longer than the cheaper ones.3)I don’t really recommend these pets for young children because they are quite delicate, have a lot of moving electrical parts and sensors and won’t stand up to being pulled about. They are designed to be a sophisticated adult ‘companion toy’ or a fun pet for older children.I bought this as company for myself whilst working long days from home, and because I didn’t want a real cat with all the hassle and cost.

Great companion
This year has been really tough, long stay in hospital and left with long covid and other health issues and sadly had to give my 2 cats up for adoption, after having them for many years wasa hard decision to make and left me feeling lonely apart from my carer, then I found this and spent time thinking do I or don't I buy, well I did and he arrived a week ago and I feel like he's the best buy, I've found I'm not feeling so lonely now and his little meows, purrs and interaction with me is so good, his purr is realistic the fur is soft and his chuffed, sighs and meows are realistic and have made him a valuable part of my daily life and I'd miss him a lot. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants a companion cat and can't have the real thing now.Edited: I've had him 5 weeks now and still the original batteries he came which is brilliant going considering all he does.
