Ultraviolet Protection Factor UPF 50+ Excellent Sun Protection UPF- What does it mean? UVR is present in sunlight. Sunburn is one sign that your skin has been exposed to too much UVR. Overexposure to UVR over many years can cause more serious health problems such as skin cancers or cataracts. Clothing that is sensibly designed for sun protection reduces your UVR exposure. The Ultraviolet Protection Factor(UPF) rating shows how well a fabric protects your skin from solar UVR and lets you select sun protection clothing with confidence. UPF ratings range from 15 to 50. Fabrics rated higher than 50 are labelled as UPF 50+. Remember that a garment only protects the skin it covers, so protect your head, face and exposed skin by wearing a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen and make use of shaded outdoor areas.

Adorable
This is very cute, fits well, and gets many compliments. It blocks the sun but not the child's view. The adjustable strap is a good feature! It can also be put in the back if bothersome! Great product!

Nice Hat But Runs Small
The hat is adorable but didn't even come close to fitting my just-turned 4-year-old's head. He does have a pretty big head but I was disappointed this didn't fit.

Nice Hat, but
This hat fit my younger son just fine. However, my oldest wore the Large size (he is 5.5 yrs old) and when he went swimming the rims were too large and got in the way, so we had to take it off and use another hat in the water. In terms of protection, I really liked this hat.

Well made hat but sizing is a bit off
I love this hat: it is well made and cute. My son is 13 months and he is already wearing it - his head is in 95% - and I hope it will still fit him next year when he'll be a little bit over 2 years. I doubt he'll be wearing it at 3...

Great Hat
It was perfect for our Bahamas getaway. The hat was the perfect fit for our 2 year old and protected him from the sun. It is also very durable so no need to buy another one for awhile!
