Not in braille!
I was very disappointed by this book. I am learning to read braille because I want to be able to read braille with my fingers, not with my eyes. It turns out that this book has absolutely no braille in it, it is a book for the sighted and teaches braille by sight. I can see why this would be appealing for someone who wishes to help a VIP by reading braille by sight but that is not what I want to do and I now see that the description of the book is misleading in that respect.

No Braille!!
Despite the cover picture, there is no actual braille in this book. It's a nice intro to Braille explaning the dot system and several pages of large print Braille alphabet. I just can't understand why they didn't put an actual raised Braille alphabet in the book. Other braille books, I've noted, have the same complaint. One can send away for a free Braille alphabet card from ~ [...]

just for children
This book might say it's for "8 and up," but it was written with only 8 year olds in mind. I bought this for my teen who wanted to learn braille before her vision completely fails her, but she tells me it's not helpful and there's no actual braille in it.

Always read the customer reviews
I wish I had read the reviews. No raised braille. I have a still-partially-sighted student who can read, but really needs to learn braille by touch. This is of little use. I specifically passed over other raised-text books because this had a story. It also has 8 completely blank pages. Not sure what those are for. Maybe I could re-write the story in raised braille if I had a machine, which I don't. So again, of no use. I think the picture on the ad is misleading. Many of the sight-only books specifically state that they are not raised or indented to avoid this issue.

Thought it was brailled. Picture shows braille, so it's very misleading.
Story is good. Key words in braille would have made it even better.

this is not a pro book it shows the dots ...
this is not a pro book it shows the dots in there for them to read but if they can't feel it and can't see it it works for nothing

Not Written in Braille.
Not for a blind person. I was hoping to learn braille and hoping to know how the letters feel. This product only has the image of someone reading braille as the front cover. The rest is the written word.I am a little disappointed but I still think this will help me learn my braille alphabet.I am glad I got this. Just a shame it's not written in Braille aswell as the written words.

braille book
although this book has braille on the cover it doesnt have braille inside that you can feel. It is a reasonable basic book with printed on dots so is useful for samll children to learn but is no good for someone who id blind. The description did not make this clear.

I should have read the reviews more closely. From ...
I should have read the reviews more closely. From the picture I expected actual Braille. One third of the book is blank pages and the rest is a story in English, with the Braille alphabet on a different page. Not worth the money!

Great delivery speed
Great delivery speed, first of all. The only problem was that it contains no actual braille! I expected from the picture on the front that it would at leave have a page or two. Although it wasn't entirely what I wanted, I think it would be a great book for a young child taking their first steps to learning Braille :)

no embossed dots, no braille
I am very disappointed that this book is completely written in text and no embossed braille at all, plus it finishes with dozens of blank pages. It's about braille not written in braille. I think it should change its cover because its cover convinced me it must be written in Braille.
