Very comfortable and perfect for mid/lower back.
When the mattress arrived 3 months ago, it was vacuum packed and I couldn’t see how it could possibly be firm enough for my needs. This mattress is medium but with a large degree of firmness. I suppose you could say medium/firm. The first couple of nights I slept on it, I was aware of the difference since my last mattress was too soft, hence the back trouble. The old mattress had also dipped in the main load baring areas which certainly didn’t help. I’ve waited until now to give a fair review after a length of time. It is very comfortable for me, even though, like I mentioned, initially, I was very aware of the mattress being harder. Naturally, the transition takes a couple of days. Now, I can truly say, it’s not only comfortable, but my back trouble has completely eased. I no longer experience any discomfort. I was glad not to pay nearly £1000 for a new mattress. I hit lucky with this homylink, designed as an orthopaedic bed. I can’t say that every person will find their back pain will suddenly be cured for having the mattress as mine was. Obviously it depends on the nature of your back trouble. For me it was muscular pain and poor night time posture from an older less supportive nighttime experience. I would highly recommend this mattress and I have slept really well on it. The memory foam layer is amazing and very supportive. Lying on your back for a time will pull the spine in line a little more but please please see your Dr if you have chronic back pain as advice on such things come from such professionals. I’m simply recommending as quality and very good value for money. There has been no sinking of the form on this mattress whatsoever and I’ve almost had it three months. Well done Homylink. Update on my Matress. 2024 July 6th I purchased this mattress in May of 23 and I’ve come back to my review to update after a year of use as this information is important for people to know. The mattress has ‘kept its form’ it’s still very supportive and I turn it around every month now. To start, turn around every fortnight for the first few months then once a month is sufficient. I’m 13 stone so ‘a little heavier than average’. The back trouble I had before getting the mattress ‘never’ returned. The memory foam contouring is amazing. The first few nights of use I was unsure as I was ‘aware’ of altered posture so naturally my sleep pattern was different as my body wasn’t used to it. I thought uhoh, I’ve made a mistake. Don’t worry! This is a natural process of change from one mattress you’re used to - to one that is more supportive. Back pain is subjective, mine was caused by poor night posture due to having a poor supporting mattress which was much softer. If ever I’m stopping over somewhere, I so look forward to returning to my own bed on return home. That’s how I feel about this Homylink Mattress. I hope if you decide to choose then you’ll be as happy as I am. A year on : No sagging, still comfortable, no backache since replacing the old one with this one.

Good comfortable mattress. As described.
We bought a new mattress from amazon just recently but we gave that mattress to a friend who we think could use a new mattress more than us. So the hunt for another mattress starts again. Found this mattress, with all the beautiful features, Iand I think this is the best choice. The mattress arrived in a small but heavy box with the mattress tightly rolled and vacuumed in a plastic bag. Once the plastic was slit through, the mattress sprang open quite abruptly to its full size instantly. You want to be careful and not stand too closely to it, as it can “jump” and slap you hard.. It took around 2 days for it to get fully expanded to its original size. Very mild off gassing smell, didn’t notice the smell anymore after tge second day ( we let the window ajar letting the air well circulated in the room on the first day we had the mattress). The mattress is quite thick. It’s towards the firm end with good support through out its length, the hybrid combination is the perfect combo - the pocket spring gives the support for the back while the gel memory foam gives that softness that contours and hugs the body nicely. Me, my husband and our sons all tried the mattress out and everyone agreed that this is indeed a very comfortable mattress to sleep on, waking up fresh without feeling hot and sweaty like the very old mattress that we had. Overall very happy with this mattress. Not only that it looks of a high quality made and brilliant price, its features such as breatheable fabric, hypoallergenic, anti-allergies, anti-mites, anti- biosis ( not too sure what that does though , but it sounds very.. scientific 😅), it’s also claimed to be water-resistant and fire retardant. Such a relief actually that it’s not just sugar coated descriptions, it really is a good mattress. Would highly recommend.

What I expected from looking at reviews
This mattress was exactly what I was expecting, I did a lot of research and looked at a lot of reviews before making this choice. The mattress is for a spare room so I knew it didn't have to be super duper special, on the other hand I really didn't want anything uncomfortable for our guests. My daughter and her husband were the first to try out the new mattress at the weekend and both said that it was very comfortable, neither too soft, nor too hard, bizarrely what other reviewers had mentioned. It unpacked and inflated just as it said it would and to be honest I think we've got a bargain, for the price paid we are very happy indeed.

Comfy good sized mattress, great value
Easy to "put up" just lay it out onto the slats, tear the plastic off and (stand back for this bit) it then pings into shape, leave it for 48 hrs and its good to go! Good quality mattress, comfortable, it's in my spare room and people who have stayed on it say its very comfy and they have had a good night's sleep. Think it is well worth the price, thinking I'll get another one as need to replace my old one for my room, but wanted to see how this was first. Had it since April 2019, it's pretty sturdy, it's quite firm, but soft enough to mould into body shape.

Great mattress
Saw this on my search for a new mattress, read through the reviews and thought why not give it a go... got to say I'm glad I did. It is a really comfortable mattress and with both memory foam and springs it gives you support and comfort. I actually find it quite firm as things go, but I like that and have had some great sleep since getting this. I think overall it's a great mattress and worth the price you pay

Be careful when unpacking, its fast
I found the mattress to be on the firm side but comfortable, you can hear noise from the springs when turning over, it doesn't bother me but could annoy others. All in all, I find this mattress pretty comfortable and I now have a good nights sleep without awakening with my bones aching and for the price, I am very pleased with my purchase.

I am happy with it
I think its important to know that I come from using a terrible mattress made of foam and no springs which was a key contributor in the back pain I developed over the years. I remember unpacking this mattress and letting it sit on my carpet for two days before I slept on it, I was still waiting for a new bed frame so I had it on the floor when I tried it initially. I just thought wow the difference is massive, you can feel the springs supporting you and the cushion of that top memory foam layer it's lovely. If its possible to put this mattress on a flat surface you should do so, because I sleep on it with a slatted bed frame now and while its still good, I believe that the springs perform best when on a flat surface to support them from the bottom. I weigh around 88kg right now and this mattress supports me just fine with a medium firm feel. What I mean is it's not so firm that you don't feel it sink at all but with that little dip, you still feel well supported and shouldn't be waking up with a tight lower back. I believe it was made this way to contour a little bit to the bodies natural shape. All in all I'm happy with it and feel it was well priced too. If you are a heavyweight though (95kg+) it'll be difficult but I think you need to find an extra firm mattress to get the right orthopedic support for your weight. I'm going to predict the springs on this one aren't rigid enough for heavier people though it's fine for me. Hope this helps
