Insurrection Industries: We are a couple of engineers who love classic video games. We wanted to share this cherished part of our childhood with our own kids, but trying to get older game consoles to work with modern televisions proved difficult—and disappointing. The few compatibility products available were expensive and often quite confusing. So we launched Insurrection Industries to make things better. Simpler. More affordable. We build high-quality, easy-to-use products that enable die-hard enthusiasts and casual gamers alike to connect classic video games to modern televisions, all with a visual and audio experience that is better than ever Insurrection Industries cables are all extremely high quality interconnect cable, custom made to exact specifications. Cheap cables have these problems: The wire used is thin often 28 or 30 awg and made of cheaper less conductive metal other than copper Cheap cables typically use composite video as sync which introduces noise into the color and audio signal and provides less stable sync which is not compatible with some monitors Cheap cables are typically not shielded or poorly shielded which allows significant external interference and noise to degrade the video and audio signal Cheap cables are commonly wired incorrectly with incorrect impendence or voltage levels which can decrease compatibility or even damage equipment Our cables solve these problems Our wire is 26 AWG pure copper stranded cable Our cables use dedicated Csync signals whenever possible which maximizes signal quality and compatibility and we use Sync on luma when that isn’t possible Our cables feature double external shielding, separate shielding for audio and coaxial sync cable to eliminate interference and noise for maximal video and audio quality Our cables are designed to have the correct impendence and voltage levels based on industry standard RGB signal specifications

Currently using this for my Neo Geo AES and way better picture for HD TVs'.
Currently using this for my Neo Geo AES and way better picture for HD TVs'.Nice that the original AES used the same RGB connector as the Genesis and decided to get this for my recently purchased Neo Geo AES. The original composite cable worked but the video was blurry and did not translate well for an HD television and was looking to figure out how to either upscale or make it compatible with the newer TVs'. This was not exactly cheap but its one of the better cables out there and set up was easy. No sound from this cable though, only video but there is separate 3.5 mm jack that you can plug in to a seat of speakers or the TV itself so well thought out.

One of Best and Most Affordable Scart Cables for the Sega Genesis.
It works great with my OSSC 1.3, the picture quality is great with these cables. It is definitely worth the money if you are trying it get best picture with your model 1 Genesis. Having 3.5 mm audio jack integrated into the cord allows you to use its Yamaha Audio Chip, which gives the Model 1 best stereo sound quality out of all the models. The Model 2,3, and Nomad do not have a Yamaha Audio Chip. The Model 2 and Nomad just have a standard RCA Stereo chip, and I believe the model 3 has just mono. The cord lives up to the manufacturer's claims and more.

Works like a charm!
I'm entirely happy with this product! Ever since my old TV broke (and subsequently got tossed), my Genesis has been pretty much just a beauty item, but with this, I can hook it up and play the game on my monitor - at 1080p no less! I know some argue that retro games were meant to be seen with distortion on a CRT TV, but I couldn't care less these days. I'll take the blocky sprites with perfect color retention over the massive amounts of washout and color bleeding composite game me any day. There's something special about playing a retro game on its original hardware.

Works great
There was no sound when I connected it directly to my SCART to Component box, but a cheap SCART audio breakout connector (from eBay) fixed that. Now I can finally read the don't walk sign in Batman like the EGM article said I could with RGB cables. Plus it passes stereo sound even though my box couldn't handle it without help.

Great if you just want to hook up the 1st Genesis to scart to tv .
This is one great cable for the first generation Sega Genesis, but I’m looking for one like this with the Audio Jack that goes from the 1st Genesis to the 32X . That would be better, for trying to hook up the 32X .

Perfect for use with an HD upscaler
This cable provides perfect picture quality and sound. I’m currently using this with a cheap 50$ HD upscaler, and by using this and a high quality HDMI cable, I have almost no input lag and don’t have to shell out 350$+ for a Framemeister. Buy this, a nice HDMI cable, a cheap upscaler, and hook up your Genesis to a modern TV. It’s fantastic.

Affordable and works!
Highly pleased! At first it didn't work since I didn't think I had to insert it that hard but when I did it clicked, which gave me hope that it would work. When i used it on my SCART to HDMI converter it worked like a charm! If its loose just push it in harder, it will work! Audio is also fantastic!
