I bought these binoculars based on the manufacturer's description and reviews. When I took them out of the shipping container (more on this later) the first thing I noticed was a black occlusion inside the left barrel. It looked like a piece of plastic stuck to one of the lens elements.I figured I would return them and order a new pair, since the outside quality seemed nice. I decided to give them a test view outside to make sure the focusing mechanics worked well. Oh, crap!I could either focus the left or the right barrel, but not both at the same time. The lenses were out of collimation, either through the manufacturing process or shipping. Normally, this is what happens to a pair of binoculars when they are dropped.I'm a long-time satisfied Amazon customer, but I believe the misaligned lenses came about through shipping- the binoculars were shipped in a bubble padded 11 X 13" that was less than 1/4" thick, measuring both sides together. Hey shipping guys: just because something will fit inside an envelope doesn't mean it should be shipped in it. I'll be going to a brick and mortar for my new ones.

Perfect for what I am wanting. I have a regular pair of binoculars but they are heavy and cumbersome. I will be trekking in the rainforests of Borneo and do not need anything in my backpack to weigh me down. These are small, powerful and lightweight--all that I am needing.

Good quality magnification, and very compact. These will be great for theater and athletic events.

These worked great at both sporting events and concerts, put you right in the action with a very easy to hold compact design that doesnt cause hand fatigue very clear image and easy and quick to focus with smooth dial operation. I dont know why is asked for a night vision rating tho, there are no night vision capabilities with these binoculars although what ever you can see in the dark will be magnified.

For the money, these were great on our trip to Alaska and bird watching in my backyard. It was fantastic to watch the eagles fly and otters swim from our balcony on Alaska cruise trip and I love looking through these to watch the hummingbirds in back yard.
