I bought these as teaching aids to help my kids learn about dinosaurs. Concepts are so much easier for them to grasp if they can hold and play with the animals they're leaning about, rather than just reading about them in a book. The animals are well crafted, the pieces have been nicely painted and they're fairly detailed which helps them look more realistic. They also have their names on the underside in case you need help identifying what they are. Most of the pieces in this set stand up on their own fairly well, although one or two are a little wobbly.The only thing I find a little cumbersome is the tube itself. While it's great for storing, it's compact size and odd shape makes it difficult to get the animals in and out - the rope handle also seems to get in the way. Other than the somewhat troublesome tube, the animals in this set are great and I will definitely be buying more of these collections.

This is a great set of dinosaurs.....nice quality and variety. My 3,5 and 7 year old grandsons love to bury them and then find them in the sandbox!!

I bought these to go with my son's dinosaur zip bin. I was looking for non-toxic and safe toy dinosaurs that looked "real." I was nervous about the toxin level in many of the "multi packs" of toy dinosaurs, but after some research I decided to go with these because of the information Safari Ltd provides regarding their paint and enviromental standards.These dinosaurs are rather small, so I would be cautious around small children, but they are the perfect size for zip bin play Neat-Oh! ZipBin Dinosaur Medium Play Set. I will definitely consider this brand larger dino replicas as well.

My 3-year old daughter loves playing with dinosaurs and takes these everywhere she goes. They're even great in the bathtub!

I purchased this set to use both educationally and as toys for kids 7, 3, and 2. Contrary to the product description our set included: Carnotaurus, Dimetrodon, Dilophosaurus, Allosaurus, Spinosaurus, Baryonyx, Acrocanthosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Pteranodon, Kronosaurus, and Elasmosaurus. It's worth noting that while all of these animals are carnivorous, Pteranodon is a pterosaur, not a dinosaur, and Kronosaurus and Elasmosaurus are plesiosaurs, not dinosaurs.Pros: they all stand by themselves (except T-Rex), they are useful for a wide variety of science discussions and activities and are fun toys.Cons: they are not to scale, the Toob packaging is annoying so we keep our collection of dinosaurs all together in a bucket, there is some overlap with other Dinosaur-themed Toob products, T-Rex doesn't stand by itself, Utahraptor is missing from the set we received.
