A friend of mine said that these cherries were unbelievably delicious, and perfect for mixed drinks like Old Fashions. Boy, was that an understatement! These cherries are nothing like a Maraschino cherry, which taste like cheap candy in comparison. The taste is so different, it takes some getting used to. Everyone that has smelled and tried them has had a "different take/opinion" on what they smell and taste like, but all have been positive. The syrup and the cherries are not as sweet as Maraschinos, but that's not a bad thing. Now I can't imagine making an Old Fashion with a cherry in it that wasn't an Amarena cherry. The jar it comes in is very classy looking, and you can leave them unrefrigerated for some time after opening (as long as your house is relatively cool). Yes, they are not cheap. Just treat yourself! You'll be glad you did.

This is the best cherries for an old fashioned drink. I’ve tried several other brands of cherries and this is my favorite. The flavor is rich, sweet with a deep red color.

Taste great. Yummy in desserts. BUT - if you don’t use this all up within a few weeks, the sugar will clump and crystallize. Not as good as Luxado brand. Save the jar for some cut flowers !

I’m so excited I found these on Amazon!!! I can’t gush about these sweet, dark red, juicy pops of heaven enough…I’ve had these at restaurants in my diva drinks. There are maraschino cherries on crack! They are SOOOOO F’n delicious! (I always beg for extras when I get one in a drink lol). They’re sweet but not a candy sweet like maraschinos, they’re a deeper, more rich sweet with a teeny bit of bitter…it’s an explosion of flavour in your mouth!! Perfect for those fancy girls’ nights cocktails…or right out of the jar hahaha I literally dip my fingers in and eat them out of their gorgeous glass jar 🤭 (that I’m going to use for “something” I just haven’t figured. THAT out yet)! I’m going to try it/these on some French vanilla ice cream,😲 maybe heat it up a little…omg I’m drooling🤤🤤. I’ll update on that one!!! 😍 If you haven’t already, you gotta try these! This is our second order of these cherries. These are the best ever at this price. The syrup is thick and sweet. Don't make the mistake I made with my first jar... don't put them in the fridge after opening. The syrup will crystalize. Store in cool space such as in a cupboard. The sweet syrup is antibacterial.
