Tegu is the best and onlly brand of magnetic wooden building blocks I would buy.
Tegu is the only brand if you want quality magnetic building blocks. While they are very expensive, other brands are made of cheap foam or plastic that do not hold up. I have this same set (in Mahogany) from when my daughter's son was little (he is now 10 years), and my son's little boys love playing with them, but 22 pieces are not enough. So I bought each of the little boys a set in the new colors so with the 3 sets they can go wild building. The magnets enable them to easily set the wooden pieces atop each other w/o tipping over too easily. Unlike tiny Lego pieces, I do not have to help the 18-month old and 4-year old boys use these blocks.

For the price, I expected a lot better
I have had my eye on these for a while. I'm glad I purchased these as an Amazon Lightning Deal (40% off), because they are not worth the full price. I realize that mark up goes to help people in Honduras (which is great)...but the regular price really puts them out of reach for a lot of people.The blocks are very lightweight. Not what I would expect out of magnetic blocks. The entire block is not magnetic, in fact, on the longer blocks, only the ends and the middle are magnetic. So really, there aren't *that* many things you can do with them.I purchased these for our 2-year old's birthday, and within minutes, he had them all dented up. My 9 year old and 7 year old think they are pretty cool, but there are more durable and versatile magnetic toys out there.

Love this set...but the set is small
Magnetic blocks make sturdier buildings...especially for young children. I always wonder if they notice the behaviour of the magnets...attracting and repelling. Maybe older ones would. Only problem....22 pieces doesn't build much. Probably need a couple sets...or pair them with less expensive, higher volume wooden block sets

An Excellent Toy Choice
I bought this as a gift for my 18 month old granddaughter. She loves playing with the blocks. The wooden blocks should last for years.

It's pricy for quantity
For 22 pieces, it's $51, and they're all of similar shapes, long, short panels and rectangles.Should it include some variety of shapes like triangles, hexagon, small squares it'll be more worthy.Maybe this is done purposely to entice consumers to buy more sets that include different shapesbut it really hurts its value.

Great product, couple rough spots on the wood but ...
Great product, couple rough spots on the wood but my 1 year old keeps playing with them a month after purchase, he picks them up and tries to put them together or stick them on the fridge, or throw them at my face.
