LockLab Approved (Sigle Pistol Safe)
::: This review is for the Single Pistol Safe :::I just got a handgun and I don't know much about safes, so I figured I google around and read what people that actually know tell me what to get.I went into a locksmiths review site and saw a recommendation for this safe so I figured I'll get it.It was a good call, its sturdy, looks modern, it gives easy and quick access and it got tamper protections (also against kids and the like) I really like it. I was able to fit my 5 1/4 inch barrel Canik TP9SFX along with 3, 9mm (50 count) ammo boxes it's pretty spacyWith some practice you can open the safe in 2 seconds, its great honestly, you can use the lock combination and use up to a 6 digit code if you want. You get auditory and visual feedback (lights and beeps) when entering the code and you can also deactivate the beeps if you want (I did)It was very easy to set up (you do need 4 AA batteries). One thing I do need to mention, the spring that opens the box is very strong so when it opens the lid flies of, if its empty it might jump a little in your table, so pay attention to thatIf you want to check the video of a real locksmith reviewing this search youtube for:Review: Amazon Basics Quick Access Safe (PS75EF)By the User: Bosnianbill (lockLab)Or got to LockLabs page and search for that titleYou will enjoy the safe :)

No problems at all
This is a great safe. Very sturdy and easy to program. I don't know what all the bad reviews were about. The instructions were very clear - HOLD the button to program the code. Press the button AGAIN to save it. After, the default of 1234 does not work, only your new code. Great value for the money. It's spring loaded and pops wide open after the last digit. Should easily deter kids and most lazy thieves, but like any light gun safe - a strong pry bar will eventually defeat it from sheer force.

Great for price
So far I really like it. For the price point and functionality, it is great. I am sure if I spent twice as much I could find better. I have two. One for my wife and one for me. Instructions are easy to follow and I like it. Instructors state insert 4 double A batteries. Slide open the door inside the safe, pull out the holder for the batteries. Then with the top open, there is a little button in there, hold it down till it flashes once after holding for a few seconds. Put in your code. Hit the button again (just press it and let go) and done. Top opens with force more than I assumed but isn't bad. Just surprising and it shuts with a little bit of resistance but it latches every time. I have hit it a couple of times for fun, it does not fly open on me. If I were rich i would beat on it with more objects but...... my kids can't get in it.

Easy to open and strong
I love this box because it was easy to program, strong, high quality, and works great. I only gave it 4 stars because I bought one then bought another one. The first one was flawless but the second was hard to close so I had to lower the latch with three very small washers, now it works great. I would buy this again.

Excellent safe for the $$$
I bought this with the purpose of keeping my carry pistol (Kimber micro) and a full frame pistol (G17) secured. Mainly a place where i can get/put away my carry gun quickly and easily when i leave/get home without having to open one of my large gun safes. This thing is absolutely perfect for this purpose in my opinion. It is stout and bolted down nicely. This thing springs open with some force! Its nice being able to turn the audible beeps off on the buttons, however in the middle of the night in a silent house the actuator for the lock is pretty noisy when it is opened. Other than that i feel this is the best bang for the buck pistol safe. Is it fire rated? No. Is it gonna stop a burglar with tools from stealing your guns? Probably not! Will it keep your curious children from having access to your firearms without you knowing? Absolutely! (Which is why i bought it)

Amazing Gun Safe to keep people out!
I enjoy attempting to get into locked objects. Lock picking is a hobby of mine and other gun safe products I was able to get in with a butter knife. Amazon rocked this one. Kids, teenagers, or even adults will have a very very very difficult time getting into this safe. (Even experienced lock picker couldn’t get in after an hour attempt). Why I like it and bought one for myself.Almost impossible to pick. BosnianBill (an expert lock picker) on YouTube has a great video on the difficulty of getting into this safe. Go watch if you don’t believe me.1/8th inch steelTight fitting top and bottom portions so I’m unable to slide something in between to hit a latch for release.4-6 digit combos so you can do the math of all the different patterns. 5 times attempted putting in the incorrect combo it locks down for 5 minutes.Lights blinks blue when 20% or better battery lifeLights blink yellow when 20% or less battery lifeIf completely dead youhave backup keys to get inCan screw it down onto a shelf or wherever so won’t walk off.You can turn off beeping tone pressing buttons if you so choose by holding down the number one button.Long story short I’ve tried many gun safes but this is the only one I feel will keep young kids or even adults off my weapon. Get it.
