Works but doesn't forever
This is the lazy man's way of wiring a break light for your truck cap. I had my Leer cap installed on my 2014 F-150 by a Leer dealer and they did the wiring which included installing this device. Had i known that is what they were going to do, i would have stopped them and done the correct wiring myself using the factory provided wire for this purpose. However, the device was already installed so fast forward 6 years and my cap brake light is not working. I checked and instead of 12v going to the light i was only reading 1.3v on the meter. I popped out my tail light and found the plastic outer casing was cracked and broken on the device. I ordered a replacement from Amazon and wired it in. Installation only took 10 minutes since all I had to do was cut the wires to the old device and solder/shrinkwrap them to the new device. I am taking off 1 star because the build quality is pretty low. Something like this device should really last much longer than 6 years if it was built with higher quality materials.

Works, but not as expected
Installation easy and does activate 3rd brake light as expected. It also flashes the 3rd brake light until brake pedal is pressed then it stays solid. I was replacing a previously installed logic box which worked without any flashing but failed when a trailer was plugged into the truck. I haven’t tried the trailer lights with the trailer yet but hopefully it will work, if not I’ll update this review. “Update”, when I hooked the trailer up to the truck the 3rd brake light quit flashing when a turn signal was activated. I suspect it has something to do with the ground. If I figure it out I’ll post another update.

Only Works With Led Bulbs
Would not work with 2 x regular bulbs. Had to use 2 x LED 194 bulbs.

Went thru two , didn't work.
I was using this to light the third brake light on a canopy on a 2015 GMC Sierra it turns out that the canopy is an older canopy and has incandescent bulbs which draw 2.08 amps these this product these Pacer logic module for although they don't say anything about it and their literature are not going to work for that if you have led you might get away with it cuz they only draw like a quarter of an amp but anything over like one and a half amps doesn't seem to work. Also they were real quick about sending me another one when the first one didn't work but I sent the both of them back and they received them on the 3rd of November and this is the 17th and I still haven't been refunded anything so I'm still waiting.

Only worked with LED light.
I wired this up to standard bulbs on my third brake light for my truck cap. It didn't work. I decided to try to pop LED bulbs in their sockets and then it worked. I think this device is only capable of working with very low draw loads. This should be disclosed in the listing. I think most of the bad reviews for this product are because it doesn't work for their application with standard bulbs or high load lights.

Works kind of
I installed this on my pickup canopy third brake light. It does stop the third brake light from back feeding through to cancel out the pickup turn signal but it doesn’t stop the pickup turn signal from back feeding to the third brake light. So the third brake light blinks until you put the brakes on. Not completely unusable but not exactly correct.

Blinking light fix?
I installed it and had a problem, when the car was running it did not work but with the engine off it worked as intended, I called pacer and discussed the problem, this was their response: "on newer models a reference voltage is ran through the vehicle, to prevent this you will use a 1/4 watt diode on each input to filter out the voltage" I am going to try it tonight but sounds like a reasonable solution. Should have been in the instructions I think. Good luck.

Doesnt work on Silverado!
Does not work for signals from 2018 chevy silverado. Called support, they said the voltages are different and other parts are needed to wire into a circuit to make it work. save yourself time, and dont buy this if ita for that truck. 1 star becaise this compatability info is not in the product descriptio
