Love this! Locking lid is great for travel
This is an awesome crockpot. I love the locking lid, which allows you to grab and go without worrying about spilling food everywhere. It's well made, easy to clean, and cooks like a dream. I use this while camping all the time and brought it home to use for winter. The only downside is it's HUGE, and tough to store.

BEST CROCKPOT EVER!
Best Crockpot EVER! My husband and I are at a point in our lives now where we've made very good use of the things that were first given to us when we were married. It's been over 15 years now and we are ready and slowly starting to upgrade everything from big to small. I have 2 crock pots. One was an older one that was first given to us and it was a nice size one. Another one is a smaller one that was my grandmother's that she used all the time that I most likely will never part with because of the sentiment and it works great. A co-worker recently has been going through a hard time with the divorce and he has to start over. He needed a lot of things that we happen to have. Not only did I use this as an opportunity to be able to help somebody who needed something that I have but I also use the opportunity to upgrade as well. I gave him my old Crock-Pot and order this one because the cooking I do mostly involves my Crockpot to travel which means the handles on the sides and the clip lid where exactly what I was looking for and needed. My old Crock-Pot didn't have any of that it was just basic and made traveling with it very difficult but we made do. I couldn't help myself, I had to break it in when I got it yesterday. The size is amazing and the non-stick,smooth ceramic finish on the inside is beautiful and it was incredibly easy to clean! I cooked a Crock-Pot creamy mac and cheese and it came out extraordinary! It Cooks fast even on a low setting so you can use the low setting and still be fine much like my old one did. I'm not into fancy crock pots that you can program so I do enjoy the manual feature and the ability to be able to pick the high and low speeds on my own. So it Cooks fast. The handles are sturdy and excellent, and I love the clip top lid! I also purchased the thermal carrier that it goes in so moving forward not only can I now make something that we can travel with because of these features, we can put them in the carrying case and I'll make it even more better! My husband is also extremely happy about this purchase because he's normally the one who has to bring it because it's normally for all of his work events! I would definitely recommend this crock pot you will not be disappointed it's excellent quality!

Great crockpot!
I love this crockpot! I got the version with the simple knob that turns to low or high. I wouldn't use the timer anyway so why pay the extra $20 for it? I also really love the lockable lid. This keeps the heat from escaping so much more than using a crockpot with a floating lid. I've found it an essential feature in a crockpot. The 6 quart capacity of this crockpot is really perfect for a large family. I have 8 kids and wouldn't need a larger one. Color is great, matches my other appliances.

You can cook a deer neck in this thing. It's pretty big, and it works as advertised.

OK, but not really a 'set it & forget it' crockpot & brand is not the same quality it once was...
I have had several crock pots over the years, from the original basic round version made by Rival without a removable insert back in the 1970's (very few of the later versions have been able to compare to that old workhorse -- wish I still had it!) to more deluxe programmable versions -- last one about 12 years ago. It is still working fine, but it is round, so the shape is not ideal for larger roasts. I also find it to be quite a hassle trying to transport it for potlucks and such (lid taped down, crock pot wrapped in a towel & placed in a box - still sometimes resulting in a mess). Years ago, I used my crock pot once or twice a week, but now that my family is grown, I only need it occasionally. So, when I ran across this manual model on special for a great price during the holidays, I thought I would give it a try. There were lots of reviews for it, both good & bad, so here is my two cents...This is my first oval crock pot and the overall quality of the brand seems to have declined and this is also by far the lightest in weight of all of the crock pots I have owned (none of which have failed, one was lost in a move, I cracked the lid of one and couldn't find a replacement, and I broke the stoneware insert on another). The stainless steel shell on this model would be very easy to damage (dents/scratches) although the stoneware insert seems fine. Heftier extensions on the insert would be nice for lifting it out of the crock pot. I like the idea of the locking lid in principle, but unless I let it air dry in a perfectly vertical position after washing, water can collect inside the clips, can't be reached with a towel. I also don't care for the seal; I thought it would be removable for cleaning like a pressure cooker lid, but as far as I can tell, it is not. After I wash the lid, I use a soft toothbrush to clean around the seal. As far as cooking, this doesn't really seem to be a slow cooker. The first time I used it, I made a four-pound roast and it was done in about half the expected time. I started off on high and turned it down to low after an hour. Luckily, I was home and able to monitor the cooking. With the liquid and vegetables, the crock pot was about 2/3 full and It turned out to be a delicious meal. For the second use, I tried my favorite 13-bean soup loaded with veggies and cooked it on the low setting for the entire time -- in this case, the crock pot was 3/4 full and it took quite a while to come up to heat and considerably longer to finish cooking than the expected time (it was lightly boiling around the edges but not even simmering in the middle) so I turned it up to high to finish it. The veggies were a little overdone so I will need to tweak my recipes a bit in order to use this crock pot efficiently. The high setting comes up to full heat quickly, but boils vigorously and the low setting doesn't heat evenly, so I don't think I will be able to just set and forget this crock pot, which does limit its versatility for me. As many others have mentioned the cord is very short, which I understand is a safety feature, but it seems to me it could be a few inches longer. The stoneware maintains the heat for a long time after turning the unit off. The locking lid works well and will be great for tail-gating or potlucks (my main reason for purchasing, so I don't feel as if I need a fancy model with all of the bells and whistles). Even with the locking lid, transport can still be tricky as the exterior of the crock pot is very hot, so I decided to buy the travel bag for this crock pot, since it was on sale, as well.

7 Quart Crock Pot
Crock Pot brand is great value for the price. Forget digital, all you need is off, warm, low and high. Six- seven quart size is all the average family needs. There is nothing like throwing all the ingredients in the pot the night before and turning it on before you leave for work. The smell you arrive home to is nothing short of wonderful. Highly recommend and also the clamp, secure lid model even though it’s twice the cost. Added note: I’m not a big fan of the 3 point base but once you get used to it, it’s workable. And people complain about the thin sides, folks it’s a low heat cooker. Sides are adequate for the design. Also recommend using the insert cooking bags for easy clean up.

Nice crock pot with simple controls and locking lid
Very nice crock pot with simple controls and a locking lid to allow you to carry it to a social event. Low seems to cook a little hotter than my old crock pot that I am replacing, but that should be fine. The old one was at least 30 years old.
