No purchasing regrets !!! \(n D n)/
I purchased this lap desk a few days ago but didn't want to put out a review until I got to use it for a few days to test it out. I absolutely love this lap desk !! \(n D n)/ I'm an Artist and one of my favorite things to do is draw while waiting in the car or riding on long road trips. Since I was a wee pup with a clipboard and notebook I'd doodle and draw for hours. Now as a grown adult I still do the same. I always carry a small notebook or sketch pad in my bag but it was difficult to draw just using my lap. I instantly fell in Love with the fact that it had a storage area underneath and had foldable legs. The picture of all the items stored neatly inside is what got me originally. I have to say I am a very happy and satisfied customer !!! It's got everything an Artist could want !!! Storage space for sketch pads, paper/notebook, basic art supplies from markers, pens, colored pencils, etc.The lid has a small indented area on to do your pencil or supplies don't roll away. My husband was going to by me the crafters lapdog desk which costs over $100 dollars. /(o•0)\ I am so glad he didn't and let me get this one instead. My only gripe about this is if you have a wide lap you'll need to use the desk with the legs folded in. I just barely squeeze between the desk legs which brings me to my 2nd gripe which is the legs edges are a bit sharp. I have to lay a thin blanket or cloth over my legs so the sharp edges don't dig into my thighs. Other than that I love the versatility of this lap desk. If I have certain Art projects I'm working on I can easily swap out the store items underneath and I'm good to go ! Clean up of the writing surface was a breeze. I did some watercoloring and got a few stray paint strokes and one swipe of a baby wipe and it was cleaned up. I don't wanna scratch up my lap desk surface so what I did was covered the surface using a clear adhesive shelving sheet cut to size. Works great and I was able to artsy up my lap desk surface by adding a few stickerssome, favorite photos, inspirational quotes, etc. before I placed down the clear protective sheet sealing in the mementos underneath. I highly recommend this for ANYBODY !!! Double Bold, Italicize, Underscore, Highlight ... A-N-Y-B-O-D-Y !! It's perfect for kids and adults !! Now if it only had a cup holder attachment that would be awesome for my paintbrush water cups and drinks. I give this 10 *'s if I could !!!

Cheap Brittle Plastic
The order arrived with 3 out of 4 units broken. The supplier sent another order with better packing material and none of the units were broken. Units are priced higher than they need to be for the cheap quality brittle plastic used in manufacturing of these units.

childs toy
I am in bed 24/7 due to terminal illness - and needed a good lap table. I use them for eating and for many other uses. This one has the cubby so it is good for that. However, it does not feel like it is very .. umm a heavy weight may damage it.. and its not really a quality item. If you have a child who is hard on their toys, and you have to replace toys often, then this table would be great as with normal use I think it can last for quite some time, but it is very cheaply priced - so yes, you do get what you pay for. As soon as I do have enough spare money, I do plan to buy a better table from another seller. I will pass this on to my granddaughter to play with. I do think it would be an excellent coloring table and you could store the book and crayons in the cubby. It could hold possibly a very thick coloring book, but it could hold maybe 6 average thickness coloring books and 2 - 3 of the ones that are about 1/4 inch thick. The compartments shown are accurate, and will hold many pencils with erasers, crayons being short, unless you buy roll up crayons, could probably fit one of the smaller boxes of crayons. Side note: The legs do fold in and out but do make loud crack noise when they do - for me it makes me think I am breaking it every time, but it is fine.

Simple and okay
I got this desk for my four and half year old pre-schooler, to use during his writing practice.Dimensions : The length, height, width of the desk is very good, his knees fits inside the desk. The height is good, that he doesn't need to bend his back while writing. I was much worried about the dimensions before the purchase, as i wasn't too sure whether it will fit or not, but it was good.Fold-able : It is neatly fold-able doesn't need much storage space. It has its own space inside to store small book or stationery which my son loves to use.why only 4 stars then? The only drawback seen on the desk is that when used on wooden floor, it slides forward. The little push you give while writing makes it to slide forward or wobble. May be if there was a rubber coating on its legs would have stopped it. Now i spread a table cloth on the floor and use the desk.will definitely recommend for new learners.

Just What I Needed!
I have various small-ish projects I like to work on, and a netbook that is always better with something to set it on.This is excellent for my purposes. I can set my netbook on it while I'm on the couch, and later pull out my project from the inside and have support/flat space while I work.An extra note, and something I personally hadn't considered: it is a CHILD'S lap-desk. I'm a skinny-ish female, so I fit under it, but my boyfriend doesn't. Obviously, most people will be buying this for a child, so that's not an issue, but I wanted something simple and cheap. The folding legs click into place and are quite nifty. However, you may experience mild terror the first time you push it sideways and one of them closes with a loud crack that makes you think you broke it. Chances are, you didn't break it...they just do that. It's not a fault in the design or anything, that feature allows you to fold the legs in and store it flat whenever you want - probably prevents breaking to a degree too. It's just something to be aware of.It's a nice little desk.
