The Atlas of Monsters: Mythical Creatures from Around the World Kindle Edition

Purchased this as a Christmas gift for our 6 year old, he thoroughly enjoys it. He isn't able to read it yet himself, most of the names are strange and difficult to pronounce. But he really enjoys looking through the photos of different Monsters and listening to us read it to him. We also love how big the book is too, nice hard back and has good quality pages.

What a cool book! My 4yo loves it, he likes looking on a map and find different creatures, I’m giving it 4 stars bc the font on the text hard to read, I’m confused sometimes what letters are there, other than that..colors, pictures and stories are great and accurate from what I can see

I bought this to help me teach a Mythological creature club and it was a fantastic buy!! I love the way the information is organized, the illustrations are great, it is easy for my students to read and is so fun!!!!

This book is meant for kids, we bought it for our sons 8th birthday. He’s into myths and legends right now so we thought this book can give him an idea of creatures around the world, then he can look into it more on his own. It shows different regions around the world and gives you a little story behind each creature or legend. My husband and I ended up looking at the book for a while, very interesting!

We had borrowed this book from the library ages ago and my son really loved it. Found it and when it arrived today, he was very excited. This book is more detailed then some of the other books he has received on the topic. He likes how it looks like parchment and has "cool images."

I bought this book for my 7 yr old grand daughter. It's a bit old for her. She likes reading it but wishes it had more pictures of the monsters.

It’s a cool book, but it is not for a 7 year old as some of the comments suggested. There is just too much going on. I wish each creature has its own page with a more detailed picture.

This is a fun book that our little one will enjoy later. Our little bit went from monster lover to scared. So this book has gone into hiding. I would say it is for older children. It does have fun illustrations of creatures and where they are from with histories and what not. It’s a neat book.

An absolutely gorgeous book. Fascinating to read, I've studied some of the maps and monsters with my Y5 class and it has really ignited their imagination. There's also a secret code to crack with clues on every page which they have all been racing to crack! Fab size too, it's a large book. Highly recommend.

This book looks & feels great with excellent pictures depicting the different creatures from around the world. My 8 yr old loves flicking through and it holds his attention more than most books I've tried.

This book is amazing. Every time you go to it you find something new. My class have gotten so many ideas from it to stimulate writing. It would be great for any child...and adult.

A lovely book on many ways and an excellent idea, but it's hamstrung by a truly terrible choice of typeface. It's tiny, reproduces poorly in print and has clearly been chosen for style over legibility, which is a shame.
