It really lasts!
This is a terrific chew for power chewers. Our girl has had this a solid month now and there are no dents or chunks out of it. It did have a rubber smell when we first bought it. I washed it and rubbed cream cheese over part of it when I gave it to her for the first time. The smell or lack of flavor has not been an issue at all. She still loves it.

Great, tough but still lots of fun!
Update July 2024. We just replaced the tough stick after 1.5 years. Our dog had not chewed through it completely but we wanted to replace it before he did, for safety reasons. He had chewed a bit around one end. It is still incredible value as he destroys other toys within a day or two depending how he feels! We have all 3 tough toys. He chews on the stick, plays with the tug toy but does do much with the ring. The tug toy is his favorite! He loves being gently pulled around by it and will grab that first when he wants to play. Still highly recommend this brand!October 2022. 17 days and still in tact, that is about 15 days longer than other tough chew toys we have bought. It is very strong but still has enough chewability to be very enjoyable and is still our dog’s favorite toy. Every day he delights in chewing it, bringing it to us to throw or hold for him. So glad to have bought this, well worth the price.Update. January 2023. Over 3 months later and still in tact. Plus he still loves it and plays with it and chews it every day. If you have an aggressive chewer this is well worth the money to try it. However a friend bought it for their dog and he lost interest in it after a few days. Worth a try though, this has saved us so much money.

Truly indestructible, awesome company
My rottie/lab has destroyed everything other brands call tough. He’s even ripped bits from kong toys and he didn’t even like those much and barely used them. I’ve had the tug toy for years and decided to order the stick, it’s fantastic! I waited a week after getting it to make sure it held up and not one speck of rubber is gone from it! He likes the tug toy for play but doesn’t usually chomp away at it, this one he will sit there with for a long time. Cannot recommend this brand enough, I think I’ll have to order another stick at this point cause both my dogs get jealous of the other having it! They also love to play tug of war with each other with the double ring tug toy.

The one toy my dog hasn't destroyed in a week
At first I was a little skeptical on how durable this toy would be since it was made of rubber. It's the ONLY toy I have bought in the last 2 years and lasts longer than a week other than Nylabones (which aren't ideal for dogs because they may crack teeth)I did go one size up just to be sure. My dog loves it, she pushes it around and chases after it, carries it wherever she goes, and chews it just like she would the other toys. No damage at all has been done to this and it's been almost 2 months.I would 1000% buy from them again.

Floating? It all depends upon your definition--bumping up my review
I bought this toy for my Lab, Woody. Every day we make a couple running circuits around the farm, winding up at the pond to wash up before heading to the house. Woody has to have something in his mouth, and if it's not a toy, then he goes for a stick, turning it into sawdust before his two miles are done. I really need something I can throw in the water that he won't lose, and is safe during the run--it has to float. I was excited to get the Goughnut stick, as it seemed to be the perfect combination of sturdiness and flotation. Woody loved this thing right out of the box.I've learned never to throw a new toy far into the pond lest I find out it doesn't float, so when we went for our first run with it this afternoon, I tossed it near shore to be on the safe side.Good thing, as it went down. Poor Woody was frantically diving under the water as he does when a toy he really likes disappears. I had pit in my stomach--I'd just thrown a $22 toy away. After a couple minutes of searching, I pulled Woody out of the water, hoping that I'd see it clearly enough to wade in after it. When things settled a bit, there it was, floating vertically, just below the surface. I showed Woody and he went after it. Unfortunately, the action of his feet in the water, pulled it under with each stroke. However, being a persistent pup, he finally stuck his head under where he'd seen it last and brought it back to bank.EDIT: It still does not float well for water retrieval, but it's the toughest toy I've ever bought for Woody, and he loves it! It's a bit heavy for me to throw repeatedly, but he loves the way it bounces, happy enough to toss it for himself sometimes. It also gets very slimy, very fast, so overall, it's not a great fetch toy. But for chewing? If they like it, it will be great.

Dog seems to enjoy a teeth cleaner more.
The chew toy seems to be indestructible, but our dog prefers a dental cleaning chew stick more.

Finally something she can’t rip up!
I have tried black Kongs and she could get pieces off around the hole. I wanted something that was safe for her teeth but yet she can’t break it apart and swallow pieces. This was it. She loves it. It does have a little bit of a rubber smell, but she doesn’t care. People say it smells really bad but it doesn’t at all. I can’t smell anything. Not unless I put it up to my nose. She is 18 pounds and this is a small.

Toy was OK, customer service was not
We bought this product based on good reviews and a lifetime guarantee.Fast forward about 18 months later, our dog got sick because the toy was coming apart and he was ingesting it.We asked the seller for a simple exchange. But instead, we were subject to questioning by the seller (i.e. how big is the dog, how long did the toy last, does he still use it, is he aggressive, etc.?Finally, she mentioned that it did last 1.5 years. I told her it had a lifetime warranty. Now here is where it gets worse. She wants us to send the product back and have us pay for shipping, plus she wants check for $9.65 to cover shipping to send us a new one?! The she says it's less expensive then her competitors. So we spent almost $30 on this, plus she wants nearly $20 in shipping fees in order to send us something that likely will not last.We love working with small business, but this is up there with the worst customer service I've had in my life.I do not like to leave negative reviews but I feel people need to be aware of this. Not recommended and will not buy these products again!
