Bare Home Weighted Blanket 40"x60" 10lbs, Light Pink

I bought this because it was the heaviest and most affordable option I could find, while also maintaining strong quality. I put the weighted blanket into a duvet cover so I would be able to wash it a little less. The quality is great! It doesn’t make too much noise, it’s soft, and the right amount of heavy when it’s laying on me. It is quite heavy to carry when folded which isn’t a problem for me but may be for some others. My duvet cover on it plays a role in this, but I also like that the weighted blanket doesn’t heat me up too much like other heavier blankets would. Overall, I’d definitely recommend.

Love it. I love how you can wash them in a washing machine and nothing happens to them unlike other ones. It’s These blankets are so nice they help me fall alseep quickly and sleep like a baby. They are medium thickness not too tick don’t stretch no shedding and very durable.

I've had this blanket for almost a year now. So I've had plenty of time to see how it works for me. I ordered this for my mental health. I have bipolar disorder and experience depression. They recommend them because they are supposed to be comforting. I definitely have experienced this personally. It gives you a security and feels like your being given a hug. The weight of the blanket has a lot to do with this. If its not weighted properly you wont havr the right experience. The suggested weights for your body weight are actually pretty broad. I was 250 when i ordered this and ordered the 22lb. I have since lost 50lbs and can say that i do notice a difference. Its enough of a difference that i could probably use the 20lb. But its not to where i feel crushed. A key thing to look for is if youre having difficulty breathing. I have not experienced this. As far as your mental health and general use having that extra weight makes you feel like you're being spooned almost. If you sleep alone like I do, I'm sure you can see the benefit to this. The blanket stays nice and cool. You still have warmth from the weight but the glass beads have a cooling effect. I'm hot natured and can't sleep if I get overheated. With this blanket I actually have a duvet insert on top that I sleep with also. This blanket has held up really well. I havent ever used a duvet cover with this. I have dogs and kids but even with that, there hasn't been any fraying or separating of the material. The edging stiching has stayed in place with no leakage of the beads. I have washed it many times so there is some light piling. But that's to be expected considering how long I've had it. The fabric is actually softer than it was when I first got it. So this doesn't affect the feel. The color of the fabric has dulled over time though. I ordered it in white and it is now an off white. Now why i gave it 4 stars. I ordered a 60x80 queen size blanket. I measured it and I actually have a 75x56. It does not reach the edges of my mattress like they recommend. I should have sent this one back and ordered a king. So I would recommend that you size up with this brand. Other than that I really recommend this blanket from this brand for the quality and the price of it. These are usually not inexpensive products. So considering how well this has worked and held up I'd get this one.

UPDATE: THIS WEIGHTED BLANKET WASHED BEAUTIFULLY & EVERYTHING STAYED WHERE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO AFA THE GLASS BEADS!! STILL 5-STARS ALL THE WAY!! My son had been wanting to try a fairly heavy 18-25 lb) weighted blanket. So, the hunt was on. I had two primary concerns: 1). The outer material, it’s softness & how it felt against his skin (both of my kids are very tactile!). 2). The inner weighted material was also a consideration as I preferred glass beads on the inside and smaller sectioned pockets where they are placed. This makes for an even distribution of the beads, therefore: the weight. ••THIS BLANKET FIT MY CRITERIA PLUS, IT HAD GREAT REVIEWS!! It looks very nice on his bed and has no off-putting smell. One small drawback; It’s very heavy so I must take it to a laundromat and use a 4-6 load washing machine just to launder it, strictly due to its weight, esp when it’s wet!! It gets heavy enough that it would likely go off balance or overload even the best non-commercial front / top loaders at home. So comfortable and soothing. I do have to sleep with the window open even when it's single digits, but worth it.

I purchased this blanket and followed the recommended guidelines for the weight, however, after using it for about two weeks; I started waking up with massive back and hip pain. I could not figure out what the cause was but narrowed it down to this blanket! After not using it for a few nights, all of my pain went away so buyer beware. This blankets are totes for all of the health benefits, but they do come with risk for some. This actual blanket was well-made and did not have any issues. I wish it would have worked for me but I had to return.

This has given me such a great level of sleep! The weight for me is perfect and is not so heavy that I cannot breath or move. I would suggest that anyone gets one of these.

I just bought 2 more of these! Great weight distribution, super comfortble, attractive colors, and washes well. I wash everything before I use it, so in it went, cold gentle cycle with detergent and a dash of vinegar to set the color so it never runs or fades (important). It would take forever to hang dry and is too heavy to hang anyway so I popped it into the dryer with 2 dry bath towels. The blanket was perfectly dry in half an hour and my kid sleeping under it just 2 hours later. It was like magic watching this weighted blanket so gently confine, and then settle my wiggly ADHD child with restless legs. That's the 10lb 40x60 green blanket. I love it, so the next day I got the velvety soft blue for my other kid (it's gorgeous but might be too warm for some people, I suspect), and a 12lb 48x72 for myself. I chose not to get a queen because it is heavy, and I think a larger one would be awkward and cumbersome to position or adjust at night. Besides, I'm single. If I weren't, I'd still consider 2 twins instead of a queen, personally. None of my family have been sleeping well lately but I look forward to some good rest tonight! As for choosing weight, I'd have definitely gone heavier years ago when my anxiety was super intense. For me now, the 12 lb twin blanket feels like I'm free to move but with resistance and it feels right. I'm a somewhat petite female. I had a great snuggle under it to try it out, and now it's happily whirring in the washer.

Super happy with this weighted blanket as it is not as heavy as some others. Nice cotton feel fabric and the grey is very modern looking.

This weighted blanket was a good price, soft, and cozy. My son sleeps well now.
