Gocher Sling Mount Set Remington 870 Express 12 GA Cap Swivel Adapter with Swivel Base QD for Hunting Accessory

Bought this to mount a sling on my Remington 870 and it works fine. Only issue was that not just any sling loops would fit well on the cap. I needed to use one of the two included rings and attach that ring to one of the rings on the sling (the sling's built-in ring on the padded end is not removable), but that was it. My major concern was that Amazon used the US Postal Service to ship it. I have previously had a very bad experience with the Postal Service in my area when I ordered my tablet - the carrier left it at the side of the house and marked it undeliverable on Amazon's tracking site, which caused me to think it had been taken back to the postal center and sent back to the vendor. While things eventually got sorted out and I have had the tablet a couple of years now, it turned into whole fiasco at the time, with the Postal Service actually defending the carrier and claiming she was the best they had. What's more, my dad recently had an absolutely horrible experience with the Postal Service when trying to get a pricey parcel in, and as I write this, my mom is now having an issue with the Postal Service as well. Bottom Line: While the product itself only had a very minor issue, easily worked around, Amazon's choice of shipping was very concerning, as mine and my family's experiences with the US Postal Service showing it to be completely unprofessional and unreliable. A word of caution: many sellers I have purchased from have Amazon ship via USPS, so if you want to avoid a lot of unnecessary headaches, specify to Amazon when buying something that they should not ship through USPS.

This sling mount set fit my Remington 870 Express very well. The cap is threaded correctly and fits just fine. It does not have that hard, satisfying clicking that the factory cap has, but it still screws on perfectly (with slightly less clicking) and fits securely. Clicking explanation: The teeth that "lock" the cap in place on the inside of the factory cap are more pronounced and machined for an exact fit, while the teeth on this aftermarket cap are less pronounced, which causes a lesser clicking noise. The fit is just the same, just as secure. Anyway, it is on securely. I installed the screw on to my stock myself (requires a 5/32" drill bit). There is a good video on you tube that walks through the process, it is very simple. The screw is in securely as well now. The clips provided are great, and even though the sling I purchased from Browning came with clips, I actually prefer the clips from this pack, as they just seem to have a more secure feel to them. I use a sling on my shotgun as I hunt and hike through dense brush and sometimes wade through water to get to stands/blinds. I have full confidence that this hardware kit will not fail on me.

I really didn’t want to go drilling into the stock of my 870 wingmaster but it was simple enough to install (might’ve YouTubed it I can’t remember) and it came out pretty nice. Oh and most importantly it works very well. No complaints.
