Great heating pad for keeping warm in the winter or for relaxing the shoulders or back after a long day!

Unfortunately I Casanova recommend this product because in my opinion it is dangerous. Just received the neck warmer today and after heating it in the microwave for 2 minutes the gel leaked out and burnt my arm. The gel is extremely hot and any burn could be serious. In addition, the gel. Insert has to be placed inside the flannel cover after it has been heated, which could result in further burns. Fortunately, Amazon stands behind their products and my account was immediately credited.

I didn't read closely enough -- thought this was like my old neckwarmer, which was filled with buckwheat or some such. It felt great, I never had to worry about it 'sploding in the microwave, and it wore its little jacket all the time. (I didn't have to heat it up and then drop it back into its cover.) Also, the cover's pretty thin -- feels more like cotton than cotton flannel. All-around a less-than-mediocre purchase on my part.

I like the microwave heating pads because they're much easier to use. However, the pad I have with beads doesn't hold heat very long. I ordered this one because the Amazon description said that it would provide heat for hours, which is a big exaggeration. I would say it cools off within an hour. The major problem is that only 1/3 of the pad is filled with gel. I realize some space has to be left so that it doesn't burst open with pressure, but I think at least half filled would have been better. I use the pad on my neck, and if I'm sitting in my recliner, the gel squeezes to either side of my neck, so there is nothing on the back of the neck. I have to squeeze it back with my hands to put the heat where it's needed, but needless to say, it won't stay. It's still usable and has a nice flannel sleeve to cover the pad, but I wouldn't recommend it for neck use.

Best heating pack!! Having been using them for years now! I not only use it on my neck but sleep with it on my lower back every night.

Love it. I have severe pain eased by heat. I warm up the Simply Cozy at bedtime. It stays warm and cozy most of the night.

It works great but it is a pain to take the sleeve off before putting it in the microwave. Then hard to put the sleeve back onto the heated bag.
