Finally I found the perfect chili for me! Instructions say to add a can of tomato sauce but I also add a can of mild rotel. Add the hot if you want it more spicy! I sampled this at the state fair 2 years ago and have been a huge fan ever since. Lots of flavor.

This spice mix makes great tacos or chili that my whole family really likes! I have tried to make my own spice blend because it seems like it should be simple enough, but I could never get the blend right - however, this is great tasting and convenient. The ingredients smell dry fresh, and I only browned 2 pounds of ground turkey, so I used 2/3 of a packet then folded it over and taped it closed to use the remaining spices another time.I like the flexibility of the seasoning, too, because I can make tacos one night then add leftover meat to make chili another night, and it will taste different because I’ll add onions, peppers, tomato juice and beans to it, along with a side dish of corn bread. Whereas with the tacos, we had side dishes of a salad and rice, and it was a full meal.Another positive is that the spice mix does not add any fillers, and all of the ingredients are recognizable. I definitely recommend this chili mix - it’s the perfect blend that I have been looking for.

Just made our first batch (the box does 6. 1-lb. batches!) and it is awesome. Better than any "homemade" restaurant chili I've ever had.

This chili is full of flavor and I get so many compliments every time I cook it I’m actually making it again for a future holiday function! I like to add 1 chopped jalapeño per ground meat used and it gives it a nice kick. Def a must buy!!!

We purchased this locally a few years back. THRILLED to see that it is now on Amazon! This is a must have in our pantry. The chili is AWESOME and using the mix to make Tortilla Soup was great too!

My husband picked up 3 pounds of ground beef for us to try this with. I made it as directed with the addition of 2 cans of beans, and a big diced onion, and let the family try it. My son said "It's watered down or something?" My husband said "You are gong to do some serious doctoring if I am going to eat that." I put 2 packets in it. The family still felt it was not strong enough. To us, it just tasted bland. I don't mean the heat. The heat is easy enough to control by just adding some more cayenne to the mix.So I added some beef broth concentrate as I usually would use beef broth instead of water in my homemade chili, and I added a good bit of cumin and a bit more chili powder. Then, it was good. I also thickened it with a bit of roux. (I never was worried about if it was gluten free or not.)My family all felt the mix was mixing cumin and needed more chili powder. It had a perfect amount of oregano already in it.

This product contains two pouches of seasoning mix for chili making but it will also work well for seasoning taco meat, spicy meatloaf, etc. The ingredients are simple—chili powder, sea salt, garlic powder, cumin, onion powder, black pepper and oregano--no fillers. Each pouch will season three pounds of meat. A bare-bones recipe for chili is included on the carton but the user should feel free to customize to suit their taste. A time-saving pre-mixed, good-tasting mild-heat seasoning blend. Very good.
