Allen and Heath GL2400 - The Best Choice for Live Gigs and Recording!
On June 18, 2010 our first band, Tears Of Laughter 1968-1970, had a forty year reunion in Haltom City, Texas. I wanted to do a professional live recording of the show but my Mackie 1640 did not have enough channels. I had to acquire a larger console and after much on-line research I purchased a pre-owned Allen & Heath GL2400-24 console. We used all 24 direct outs hooking up to an Alesis HD24 digital record deck. I have owned and used a world renowned Mackie 32-8 console, a Mackie Onyx 1640, and a Soundcraft console. The Allen and Heath GL2400 out shines them all beyond comparison. [...][...]

it is the superior board period
i have used mackie vlz's,yamaha, alesis and several other analog boards from 92'-05', I own a A&H GL 2400, it is the superior board period. The yamaha was a second and so on, but sound quality is different with the A&H.
