I normally don't write review, but I couldn't let others be disappointed. The starter bendix was broken upon arrival, clinks around in the CVT, and chewed up some of the gearing. Additionally, the scooter has extreme hesitation past 15 mph. I checked the fuel petcock, gapped the spark plug, aligned the piston to top dead center, adjusted the valve lash, examined the variator weights, and examined for blockages in the air intake-- without avail. I called SMARTDEALS support, and Nathan forwarded me to Jeff, their tech, at TaoMotors. He told me to send videos of the variator and bendix as proof. He agreed the bendix is damaged, which confirms one of the issues. He recommended I duct tape to cover a portion of the holes on the cap to solve the latter issue. Obviously that didn't work, and TaoMotors is refusing to ship me a carburetor. Also, I still haven't receive my paperwork to put the cherry on top. This company offers ridiculous MacGyver solutions, and yet drags their heels to make the replacement process convoluted and beurocratic so the 30-day warrenty expires. I've gone above and beyond what a consumer's duty entails and worked with them on every account within my mechanical knowledge. Please, just send me the dang carburetor, bendix, and paperwork so I can wash my hands and forget about the poor support.

This is our third scooter, two of which we have purchased from Amazon. The delivery was as advertised and the company was quick to mail out the documentation needed to register the vehicle. It does require assembly but my husband was able to do that in a few hours. It is a tremendous savings over local dealers to purchase from Amazon if you are handy as the assembly is required. We had our first scooter for 10 years and it just died this past summer.

The scooter only needed the front wheel and handles assembled. Was simple and did it myself. Also some YouTube videos made changing the gear oil and motor oil easy as well. You do Have to change the shipping oils!!! As far as speed I am over the weight limit and it still did 35-40 on flat ground and maxed out downhill. 50 mph. It was for my son 170 lbs. And it does at least 35 mph even uphill. I recommend it. His old one wouldn't go over 30mph.

A speedometer and blinker not working. Rust on the undercarriage of scooter. The tire had a slice in it with a slow leak. I reach out to seller and they said they would send replacement parts. Well haven’t gotten them and it’s a month later. I ask for a refund through Amazon protection and they want to reach back out now that I’m trying to get a refund. They do offer refunds as long as you pay to ship the product back that’s they sent to you broken. Would not buy this product or even deal with this seller. I wanted to leave a good review in hopes they would fix the problem but they didn’t. Oh and make sure to fill up the oil it will have close to non in to when you get it. The last review got taken down for some reason so here is another one.

Arrived ahead of schedule, pretty easy to assemble. The fuel line ruptured after the first ride and dumped a full tank of gas all over my driveway. Replaced the fuel line and all the clamps for much nicer ones. Since then, it's been great, so far... UPDATE: Three months in and already had to replace the battery, voltage regulator, and several other little things. Currently still not running and need to take it to be serviced, but having trouble finding someone who works on them. It's been broken down more than it's been running. Dropped from four stars to two. Would not recommend. UPDATE II: After several months of searching for an establishment who works on these, I couldn't find a single shop in my area that would even agree to look at it, so I gave it to a neighbor who tinkers with motorcycles, and he couldn't get it to run either. This scooter eventually ended up at the scrap yard. What a waste of $800. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND! Spend that money on a used Honda scooter; you'll be a lot happier.
