Assassin's Creed 3 is one of my all time favorites. Remaster is even better then original.
This is my all time favorite of the original Assassin's creed games. So this is a complete remaster of the original with newer effects and some new blade animations and also cleaned up and polished to look really nice. I really like the wood effect they added to the handles of the flintlocks and conner just looks amazing. Hidden blades when they come out look incredible. I've realised how much I miss this feature with the newer AC games. But cities and towns are more densely populated and have more people in shot then before. The only fault it had was some bugs on release day. But I can't fault this game as it is one of my favorites of the previous generation. I spent many happy hours playing this game. Conner is one of my favorite Assassin's in the Assassin's creed franchise. You also get all dlc included and Assassin's creed liberation remastered is included with all extras aswell. So it's basically two games for the price of one. Excellent buy. I would recommend to any Assassin's creed fan whether you are a veteran or new to the series of games.

What exactly did they remaster?
I’ve played every Assassins Creed game ever released with exception of mobile versions and I have to say, III was always the most disappointing to me. I decided to give it a second chance because of the amount of time that had passed and I expected that the clunky controls and Graphics would have been improved upon but to be honest, it’s like the developers have just ported it over to PS4 but taken none of the time to work on any of the issues that us the gamers experienced the first time around.First thing I really noticed immediately is that considering this is a ‘remaster’ for a PS4, the characters look horribly flat and featureless, poorly lit and washed out. Haytham looks worse than I remember, Rebecca looks worse than her rendering in the second game (and that’s really saying something - aren’t the characters supposed to look better, not worse?). The scenery doesn’t look much better than I remember, and I don’t see any improvement in the clunky controls, as when I want to climb, Connor will instead decide to move sideways or just jump off a building and die. Trying to fire guns and arrows is profoundly difficult as you can’t seem to really see where the aim is as it’s pretty much transparent. You fire an arrow and a second arrow fires automatically as well, meaning you lose double the ammo. Fantastic. What’s bothering me the most right now is that the developers clearly made no attempt to look at the “Eagle Vision” system which often necessary in the game to plot out strategy, spot things you’re looking for (like collectibles) and find hiding spots. The eagle vision in this version is SO dark it’s almost black, and it seems as if the screen in Eagle Vision vignettes around Connor the point where you can see barely anything except a small poorly lit circle in the centre, where you might see an odd vague blur of red to indicate where an enemy is. It is VERY difficult to spot enemies with the way they’ve set this up. Yes, you can run with Eagle Vision but you’d literally run into a redcoat before you literally spot the red in Eagle Vision.I’m seeing constant graphical glitches, climbing hills seeing the background cutting through scenery and disappearing elements. I’m experiencing loading screens become perpetual (one loading screen after a mission remained up for seventeen minutes before I got frustrated and turned the game off. I’m seeing the game jamming frequently during gameplay, the entire game just freezes - you can still close out, use the PSN network, but you cannot do anything in game or access game menus.I’m looking very hard to see what exactly was remastered here. It feels like they’ve slapped the DLC on, ported it to PS4 and called it a remaster, when there doesn’t seem to be anything having actually really been done to it. I really wanted to give it a chance but I’m really not impressed and miffed I actually didn’t wait until this was on sale to get it because it was not worth the money to rebuy a worse version of what I already owned on another console.Just...no. Unacceptable poor attention to detail by the developers for this one. If you’ve got it on another console, don’t even bother. It’s not a remaster, it’s a straight port.As for gameplay, I think what disappointed me is the devs didn’t fix the fact that Connor, as an Assassin, cannot go into any stealth mode unless in a hiding spot. This never made sense to me. The fight scenes are extremely difficult and you will always be massively outnumbered and it is difficult to use stealth if you have a high notoriety and can’t get rid of it. If you like very challenging games, it’s still up there. It’s playable and challenging but it’s the same game it was. If you don’t have it, it’s worth a punt, if you already have it on Xbox 360 or ps3, don’t get it, it’s nothing different.
