My Toy
I am tired of paying TD Bank to sort my coins, so I ordered this. My husband calls it my toy, pulled it out of the package, put batteries in, and said for me to send it back, it doesn't work. All the coins are going into the large holder. The next morning I read the directions. Under 'troubleshooting' it says that if it is doing that - the batteries are in backward. I changed them around and this works great!I love it, it is my toy.

Great coin sorter.
We bought this to sort and wrap our jars of coins. It works great, however after sorting and warping our thousands of coins we found that banks won't accept them wrapped because people put other coins in the wrapper besides the ones that belong there. So it was a mute point buying it. But it does work great.

Damaged Piece Cannot Return
Bought this from Amazon. When finally decided to open it found out that it does not work ie does not start even when fresh batteries are put in. Cannot return it because it is outside the return window from Amazon. Having said that, I do not like the construction of the unit. Looks flimsy. The batteries do not seem to want to sit in their place, they keep popping out by themselves, which is very irritating. The other thing is that they recommend using their round coin tubes stating that the flat ones will not work; so more expenses purchasing these coin tubes instead of getting it for free from the bank.

Does the job
Granted that it's only intended for home use, not for people who run stores or banks, it does the job. It does jam occasionally, but I was always able to get it going again. You have to be sure that the tube drawer is fully closed when you turn it on, otherwise coins end up inside the machine and you have to shake them all out.

Kids would like this
Its ok but its not real heavy duty. The coins can get jammed in it. I think its a great item for kids but for the adult who wants to sort change for spending, pass on this one

Must buy!
I've had this for a few years now and it works great. I put all my change in an old mayonnaise jar and when it fills up I get about $140- $170 in change. This is so much fun and it's better than pay 8% to those change exchangers at the supermarket.

Sorter Does Not Work Well
This sorter does not work well. On my very first use it jammed. Battery powered motor is not very strong. It says not to use more than 50 coins at a time. I had trouble with it handling more than 10 coins without jamming. Several times it dumped coins in the overflow bin when the wrappers were not full. After several attempts it finally got the coins in the proper wrappers. There was also a problem with the wrong coins ending up in the correct wrappers. For example, the nickel wrapper/tube ended up with dimes and pennies interspersed with the nickels. This is not good. On every attempt in using this device I had several jams, And yes, I was using the preformed recommended wrappers. In summary, I can't recommend this sorter. I would suggest spending a little more money to purchase an AC powered unit. The battery powered motor is just to weak to handle the job efficiently. This is not a load and walk away device. You will have to "fiddle" with it to meet with success.

Great product. Great price.
It is a great system. I had to use it to collect over 100 dollars in coins. The item is easy to use and rarely jams. When it does jam, it is easy to use. The instructions for closing the tubes could be easier, but overall it is fine.
