It's a brilliant phone and absolute steal for £150
I've had my fair share of Chinese smart phones over the years because I really detest paying for a label when I can get something of similar performance for about half the price. Umidigi have a customer for life here if they keep producing phones like this. Its built solid and looks nice. The case is the best I've seen come included in the box. The usb type C fast charger does the job of fully charging the phone from dead to 100% in about an hour. All the sensors work as they should. It's fast and I do a ton of gaming on it at which it's brilliant at. Screen looks awesome. The fingerprint reader is terrible out the box but a wireless update fixed this and now it works great. Battery is an absolute monster and lasts me all day with heavy usage. Camera takes decent enough pictures and focuses quickly which has been my main gripe I've had with phones in the past. About a month into ownership and had nothing but a possitive experience with it.

Amazing for the price (for now)
Got this phone a week ago so don't know how long it will last. Design: Incredible design at this price point, very thin bezels, not very thick considering the battery size. Nice metal back. Comes with free case and screen protector installed (both cheap but usable). Screen: 450 nits is great, slight leakage at the bottom of the screen but not very noticeable at all. Good viewing angles. Performance: Excellent, runs all games, even runs pubg at max FPS if you use a gfx app. Very snappy, has not crashed once. (Be warned it's a 55fps 5-touch screen, but neither rly make a difference, rather than 60 FPS 10-touch standard. Battery: 5150 mAh is amazing, easily last a day a day of heavy usage and for most will comfortably last 2 days of normal usage, or 3 of light. Cameras: Both perfectly acceptable for the price, not the best but by no means bad. Speaker: Not very crisp but nice and loud. Connectivity: Has all the 3g and 4g bands in the UK and works as one would expect. Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC also work well. Be warned: The phone currently is not compatible with Netflix in the UK, and I imagine therefore anywhere in the world. Hopefully this will be fixed. (But don't most people us laptops for this anyway..)

Great phone for a reasonable price
Needed a new phone have been using a windows phone which worked perfect with my pc windows 10. Dreading having to change but Umidigi was recommended and I am surprisingly pleased with this phone. Just took a bit to set it up but it does everything I need. Emails, phones, messaging, facebook etc. I even managed to put iTunes library onto it. Haven't taken many photos or videos yet but I tried it out and managed to transfer to pc easy enough. I am not a gamer so can't comment on that. Happy enough with this purchase and it was reasonably priced and is a good size and weight in my hand. Found the finger print sensor a bit difficult but face and pin works no probs. I am not young and have found this a much easier experience to change mobile phones. Didn't post this and I am now updating my review... Was a bit worried about photos as reviews were mixed but I have used this at several events and use for community facebook pages and they are perfect photos (you have the ability to alter if you wish) much better than I was expecting and have had great feedback on them... many thinking they were taken by an expensive good camera. Perhaps the updates have helped with camera. Have been using now for a month and just love it more and more every day. Well worth the money (bargain really) Would defo buy a Umidigi again.

3 months with the F1 - the good the bad and the ....
Battery life good, screen good, processor fast, case and cosmetics good The bad - camera, unimpressive, the speaker poor quality, ( lets be accurate - the sound from the speaker is the worse on any phone I have experienced in the last 10 years - so yes truly awful) fingerprint detector poor, face detection better. the Ugly - software glitches, ring tones working then not working, mobile data connects then will not connect, memory functioning between main phone and mem expansion still a mystery to me. On balance the unreliability of this phone and unpredictability has been disappointing. Also lack of good information on the net has not helped. Good phone to own but it will let u down in key areas in sound, camera and software.

Not recommended
Awful phone. Can hardly hear anyone when making a regular call - have to use speaker, earphones, or be in a very quiet area. Camera is not great at all. It's slow to react, frequently I find it's taken a pic of the inside of my pocket - after I thought all was finished. Focusing poor. Light sensitivity poor. No manual controls. Gaming - poor. Struggles with 3d graphics. Firmware - poor. What happened to "Android One"? No regular updates as promised. Battery life is probably the best thing about this phone - it does last a day of reasonable use (including using dual SIM), although this is dwindling slightly now I've had the phone a while Firmware - not great. The screen frequently flickers as if the firmware has been hacked, or is running other software on the side. The screen is probably around average for a budget phone. Not particularly bright, doesn't go particularly dim either. The automatic light settings though are an absolute joke! Overall, I would recommend against buying Chinese crap like this.. if it was £20-£30 it might be alright. Glad I didn't pay full price! Sadly there aren't many phones around that I would give more than 2 stars anyway, even premium phones have a short lifespan. Looking forward to Linux and the end of Moore's law - hopefully we will see longer lasting firmware that is made from better quality parts for a longer lifespan.

Probably the best phone for the money - Excellent
You would not think this is a budget phone. The operating system just flows really smoothly and everything is responsive and fast. The screen definition is stunning. I am not a big user of the camera so probably not the net person to critique this aspect. it's certainly great for WhatsApp photos but I have not tried any of the clever features. It recognises my face and fingerprint reliably. As for the battery … this is my third day now without charging and the battery meter is showing 62%. I am not a heavy social media user but over the past few days I have been on and off WhatsApp, taken photos with the flash, had several lengthy conversations, received and sent numerous emails and calendar invites, located my phone when I couldn't find it, ready the news, researched lots of things on Google etc. My last phone would have gone within 24 hours but this one just keeps on going. Would I recommend this phone? Absolutely. It even looks nice and most people think that it's a high-end Apple or Samsung (not that I am brand conscious myself). I just smile at how much they paid for their equivalents.

Don't expect a smooth experience
Great battery life and has NFC . That's about it unfortunately. Fingerprint reader is useless, camera is horrific, and touchscreen digitiser was inaccurate. Too many issues made this unusable for me.

Amazing phone and not just for the price
This is a really good phone and for this price it's amazingly good. Bright, clear screen, loads of storage, fast and fluid operation, NFC for Gpay, WiFi Calling, almost pure Android 9 Pie, good build quality and all the 4G bands you need in the UK. Set up using a Google back up was a breeze and everything just seems to work. The only let down is the camera. It's ok...in fact better than ok...the pics come out clear and sharp in good light...not so good in low light. But for the price......
