A new and innovative way to secure pegs and hooks to a pegboard that has 1/4" holes. These peg locks are easy to use and hold the peg or hook in place. Pegitz peg locks hold the peg or hook in the hole so it is less likely to fall out when an item is removed. It is removable, reusable and helps to preserve your favorite holes. Pegitz Peg Locks come in multiple colors to allow color coding of your work space. They also come in 2 sizes to fit regular and thin hooks. Pegboard hole size must be at least 1/4" in diameter (standard size). If you are not sure of hole size, you can try inserting a 1/4" drill bit by hand into the hole to verify. If hole is too small, you can fix by using 1/4" drill bit to widen. Installation Tips: 1. If the Pegitz part is hard to insert into the pegboard, it is typically because the holes are smaller than 1/4 inch. You can fix this by using a 1/4 inch drill bit to widen the hole. 2. If the hook is hard to put into the Pegitz part once installed in the pegboard, you can "Pre-Stretch" the Pegitz part by pushing it onto the hook BEFORE inserting into the pegboard. Then, remove hook and install into pegboard as normal. If the pegboard holes are too small (see #1 above), it can make the hook harder to insert.

Helped organize pegboard well and made the pegboard accessories very useful!
The problem with those metal pegboard hooks and accessories you buy on amazon or elsewhere is that they don't slot in snuggly and there is a lot of wiggle room. This causes the peg hooks to fall down when you remove a tool from the board. These pegitz peg locks helped keep them snuggly in place. With these in place, you don't have to gingerly remove the tool. you can rest assured that the pegboard accessories will not fall down. What makes these even better is that these only take up one hole. There are other stabilizers out in the market that end up taking a hole on either side of the peg wasting more real estate on your pegboard. One con about these that these can be a little difficult to install. Once you figure out the way to slot these in, the subsequent ones become easier over time. Would highly recommend this product! I have been a repeat buyer of these.

They work!
I am impressed with these pegboard locks. I have pegboard with 1/4" holes. I have some older hooks that are the 1/8" size that fall out when removing the hanging item. These locks fit tightly into the hole and keep the 1/8" hooks tight and secure in my board. I tried other fixes, but they didn't work. These are perfect! You do have to push them into the hole, but they work perfectly. If your hook has 2 prongs, you need only 1 lock to make it fit a 1/8" hook. GREAT PRODUCT, I need to order more.

Very useful in keeping your hooks in place on metal pegboard. Work great!
Only problem is that they are difficult to install. They don't just push themselves in. I used small needle nose pliers to stuff the tabs into the holes which worked a lot better than what the directions stated. I then put the hooks in after the pegitz was installed.

Better than nothing
None of the black plastic clips (the ones that span 3 holes) work well enough on their own. I now use these in combination with the clips. Seems like overkill but it works.

I upgraded to metal peg boards. None of the accessories fit well. Not sure what? The thickness of the metal peg board? But these locks work amazing. Really great.

They're OK...
These are OK. A little hard to remove if you want to rearrange your hooks. In the past, I just used a dab of hot glue (just enough to hold in place but still allow to remove in the future). When I run out of these plastic inserts, I'll probably go back to the hot glue.Oh, I also only received 49 pcs, not 50.

We have the double peg hangers and at first I put 2 of the peg locks in but it was reallyyyy hard to get the hanger in like that and it was overkill. Instructions mentioned for doubles even just one peg lock is enough so I started doing only one per hanger and it was plenty of strength holding it in. Gives me peace of mind knowing it won't be easy for someone to just swipe the whole hanger.Note: it was too hard for me to push the hanger in through the peg lock by hand so I had to hammer the side with the peg lock in.

These peg locks are far superior than those that are packaged with the pegs!
No dislikes. The locks grip the 1/4" hardboard perfectly and, for most of my pegs, required only 1 peg lock in the lower arm of the single pegs. I removed some of the locks several times looking for better placement of tools on the board, absolutely no damage to the lock or board in the process. They are a soft rubber, not hard plastic, not only does this avoid board damage, but it helps the locks grip the peg.I will definitely buy more of these if required.

They do their job and really make the pegboard so much more enjoyable to use, love them!BUT I've ordered 2 boxes now, first one has 38 pieces and the second box had 48. Not 50 as advertised both times now :(

Best way I have found to secure peg board hooks
Product is easily moved, and securelyy holds the hooks in a metal cabinet. Could not be happier. ...well I could but that involves other things :).

These really work
Bought both sizes of these as the hooks I had were different sizes. A bit pricey and they are a little stiff to put in but they really work and hold the hook very solid. Excellent, veryhappy
