Great for kids and last longer as he age
Got the 1.8M version of this extendable rod and reel combo for my 8 year old as an upgrade to his old Shakespeare pole.First thing he told me after I gave him he love the color bcuz red and black is his favorite. The pole is made of carbon so its strong yet thin and light for his small hands.The reel came with this rod is model 1000 and if you get the longer ones it comes with model 2000. The 10 bearing makes his reel turn very smoothly compare to his old one which is one button push type which eventually broke. So the spinning reel is great for him.I toss it few time and caught few mackerel and like how it able to toss very far with just the bait and hook.

Beautiful retractable fishing rod and reel combo
Great looking rod and reel combo. I say this because I really like the colors of the rod. The reel is very smooth and the adjustable drag works very well also. I like how compact everything is and everything fits into the carrying case that’s comes with. Also included was super strong braided line and a small tackle box with lures. Great price and durable fishing set. I’m very happy with this purchase.

A KEEPER FOR SURE!
If there's one thing I leave to my fishing friend to take care of herself, it's her fishing gear. But when I came accross this, I one she'd love the compact size and easy availability it has. I spent a good bit of time checking the many there are out, and was a bit nervous about giving it a go even though it's so reasonable. She said for me to tell people it's a keeper, and you'd all knew what it meant. She loves it from the easy orgaized gear holder, the bag that puts it all togather in one simple throw over your shoulder walk - about, to the reel that spins like silk and the prefect Telescoping rod with lock protecters for the line feed. She loves it!

Definitely my favorite fishing rod and reel yet! I purchased the 1.8m/5.9ft rod and was surprised how strong it was. It's collapsable feature is very easy to use and it collapses to a backpack sized rod. The reel is also very easy to use. The reel handle folds into a nice size so you don't have to take the time to take the handle off. Though the reel does not have line on it, I had no trouble putting some 10lb line on it. The reel has a very smooth reeling feel to it and is AWESOME for only $35.
