Works Great But Could Use A Better Manual
I needed to connect to a security camera DVR with HDMI video and a mouse in order to control the DVR from about 60 yards distance. The performace of this equipment is just outstanding. Surveillance camera video is excellent and there is no latency when using the mouse. The instructions that come with the unit and on the Amazon pages could use an update. BOTH the transmit and receive boxes have a port for a 12 volt DC power supply with standard barrel connector. However, there is only one power supply included in the box and the instructions show it being connected to the transmit side. Thanks to a review on Amazon, a customer indicated that the receive box should also be powered for the mouse to work over longer ranges, which is what I did. Also, the Amazon pages say the unit will work up to 80 meters, but the included instructions indicate that the mouse function only works up to 60 meters. That limitation and the need for a second power supply should be divulged in the Amazon pages.

Nikki's Pros and Cons of the HDMI KVM USB Extender with POE, Ansten
The Ansten HDMI KVM USB Ethernet Extender with POE power is a great item.Pros:1. It works!2. Ethernet connectivity3. One Power Supply Unit for boht sides via PoE over CAT64. Supports HDMI and the picture is good, not great, but good5. Supports USB keyboard and mouse6. Well built metal body7. Bright LED indicator lightsCons:1. Its just a tad pricier then it could be, I'm guessing under 100 bucks would be good for all, but I could be wrong.2. The LCD on the non-PC side goes into sleep mode when the screen goes blank, I'd rather it stay on, I feel that I'm missing messages during POST, and options to enter RAID UI.3. DO NOT USE this with your network switch, you need a separate CAT6 run between the TX and RX units. I'm not sure if it would work, but it would be nice if this unit would work with a standard PeE network switch. Or maybe a different verions that uses two power supplyes and does not use PoE so I can plug them into my LAN switch.4. Only one USB port on the server/PC side. This is OK for 95% of most setups, but a few servers will have issues with two into one USB ports, its basically a "Y" or USB splitter and DOS and some Firmware and RAID screens that are not windows bases may have trouble seeing both KB and Mouse.Overall this is a wonderful unit, and I would be very happy to purchase another if I ever needed another one.Recommend! A+ :)

Video quality isn't great
While it works, and there's no noticeable lag, the video quality isn't great. The colors are washed out and the compression makes it looks like a low quality JPEG screenshot at 1080p.

works
I had to get something in a pinch and the one I ordered previously wouldn't ever pass a signal. so i order this one, and it plugged in and ran without any issues. easy to use.

Does the job
Bought the KVM extender over ethernet to extend my security camera NVR display from a closet all the way across the house to the living room tv. Needed HDMI and USB mouse. The Rx side must have a USB hub as there are two USB ports at the Rx side. In case you need both keyboard and mouse. In order for the optical mouse to work properly I had to power at the Rx side. No big deal, likely an issue of my super long run but didn't really investigate what was happening to the USB when I initially powered at the Tx side.My NVR is 4K capable but living room TV is only 720p. The HDMI link negotiated down to 720p without issue. For the ethernet run I used 100 ft cat 5e cable with couplers and short ethernet patch cables on each side as i installed keystone jacks with decora wallplates so everything would look clean and professional. This device does a very good job at what it is designed to do. Extend KVM over a long distance.Edit: 6/30/2020This unit stopped working without any changes to wiring, meaning no signal detected on the display. There was no indication according to the LEDs that anything was wrong, and optical mouse still came on. Recently I ordered another set and out-of-the box it wasn't working in the same way, everything looked normal in terms of LEDs but no video signal detected on the display. Now with two sets, I tried powering on both ends using the 12V power adapters from each set, and everything started working. I verified my original set is functional again when powering each end. All my cabling is Cat5e and even a short 5' run doesn't work over POE, but works when applying power on both ends. for this reason I am knocking 2 stars. The units still extend HDMI over a long range, but the advertised POE and only giving you 1 power adapter is flaky and insufficient.

Works as advertised.
Worked well With USB and HDMI for an interactive flat panel at 150 ft. A bit more obvious profile but good performance.
