Park Seed Basil Herb Plant Seeds, Easy to Grow, Variety of Colors, Spring Garden, Lettuce Leaf, Pack of 100

I have purchased the Emerald Towers packet several times. These seeds germinate near 100% rate. The plants grow quickly, and produce a lot of leaves. Because the plants don't flower, there is no need to watch for that, and they continue to produce well into fall. Finally, I think the flavor, size, color, and texture is indistinguishable from Genovese basil. This is now the only basil I grow.

I decided to plant all 50 seeds, and I ended up with 47 plants, which works out to a germination rate of 94%. That's pretty amazing if you ask me. The plants that I kept (gave away the rest) are doing amazing and look true to the emerald tower basil variety.I germinated them on expanded peat pellets, in a mini germination green house, on top of a VivoSun seedling heat mat.

I love basil and was so excited to try this variety. However, not one seed sprouted. I don’t think I will purchase from this company again as the price was high and came with few seeds.

Many things did not grow good this year. Very slow once I put things outside at the end of May zone 6. I swear it is the cloud seeding they are admitting to now. Many days the weather called for sun and it rained. Not buying the weather as mistakes. In the early 2000 they were correct all the time on the hour it would begin to rain. So I believe these seeds would have been great if they made it to maturity. My Tomatoes took 7 months and I got a few golf ball size. Plenty of organic fertilizer, my own worm tea, steady water. Neighbors having strange issue too. But maybe next year.

These are great quality Emerald Towers Basil seeds! 7 of 8 seeds I planted germinated.This variety is my favorite by far. It's tall, bushy, and bolts very late in the season.I will order more of my seeds from Park seeds in the future based on this seed quality.

Germination was 100% for me.The basil taste is awesome and the plants grew beautifully.

Never had this problem with basil, but lousy performance breaking soil and half of those were sickly and didn't make it. Don't recommend.
