High quality, good for 4' freshwater aquariums.
After more than a year I finally popped this powerhead apart and cleaned the impeller. Was only slightly slimy inside. This pump is so quiet I need to put my ear against the glass to be sure its working. I have it in a 75 gallon tank and this is the correct size powerhead for freshwater cichlid tank. Not big enough for a 6 foot tank in my opinion, would take 2 of them. Just set up a 125 gallon tank so I bought a larger one (Voyager 7 at 2800 gph), I had to install the diffuser supplied with it to keep my fish from being "blown away". The Voyager 8 would be two big for a 125 freshwater setup, but probably not too big for a reef setup with wave maker. The quality of both of these powerheads is top notch, they are heavy duty, and quiet running. The larger Voyger 7 has a noticable hum, but for the water movement it creates, it is pretty quiet. My Hydor 1200 gph powerhead failed in less than a year, would not start back up after buying a new impeller and I was determined to try another brand. The quality of the Sicce easily exceeds the Hydor and has already lasted longer without the slightest hickup. At first it seemed that the Sicce 1200 gph was not as strong as I expected, the diffuser seemed to inhibit flow. It can be installed with adjustable flow or fixed into position with max flow. The perception that it was not as powerful is likely due to its quiet operation. After a short time it was apparent it was moving way more water than my first impression. Sicce is the best powerhead I have purchase in the price range they are sold for. Very satisfied, reccomended buy. 1200 gph is good for 55gal and other 4' tanks as a solo powerhead. Betting it would be a lot for a 30 gallon tank.

Quality Matters
I got this used to replace an off brand one that wasn't performing well. Sicce is well worth the investment, as this thing performs flawlessly.

Moves water
I've grown tired of hearing the old saying, 'You get what you paid for'. It seem like a go to, but after having purchased two of these pumps and seeing the pros and negatives I'm satisfied in saying "I got what I paid for" The pumps move water and create turbulance in my reef tank. Exactly what I wanted. The magnets are weak for my 180 which has 1/2" glass. The Tunze 6045 pumps have stronger magnets. They are not as quiet as my Tunze 6045's and need to be placed carefully or I find they resonate if too close to the overflows of my tank . Please keep in mind that the Tunze are smaller and move less water. Pricing is very close between these two so it's what you need vs cost. All in all I'm satisfied. Let's see how they hold up over time.

Low Noise
2 months in so far and got 2 of these both working great. Not as loud as my koralia pumps where new out of the box. Will update after more use.

Low Flow and Popping Noises
Purchased this Voyager 4 over a cheap Aqueon unit from the local pet store because it's an established name brand and the small outlet holes would prevent my smaller catfish from wandering into the impeller.Upon installation I was dismayed to see the visibly lower flow (this is supposed to put out 1,800 gph but it moves less water than a 1,200 gph Aqueon). The unit also makes a very disturbing popping sound. Will be returning this immediately.

Wave Maker 5 años garantía
La onda de movimiento de agua es amplia, ancha. No es un chorro fino a presión, sino que es más semejante a las corrientes en el mar. Buen movimiento para ayudar en la filtración del acuario.

Great Pump
Great pump, this line of pumps are very quiet and strong but when put on a wave maker pumps don't always start up due to the rubber bearing on shift, they harden and prevent pump from working properly. However Replacements are cheap.
