Did that red sock make it into your load of whites? No problem. Add Color Run Remover in your wash to remove dye and streaks from mixed-wash accidents. Separating colors and whites for different washes don’t always go as planned. Use Color Run Remover to brighten your whites that have become dingy from dye absorbed from other garments.

It works!
I had washed a load of towels together including one solid white fluffy towel that was on its second ever wash. When the machine was done and everything was ready to hit the dryer I noticed the white towel looked a little pinkish. I was confused because there were no red items in the load. My white terry-cloth hair towel was still bright white so I’m assuming it was because of the material difference. I think one of the beach towels (shades of deep pink) I had in the load was the culprit. So I googled my issue like any normal person does and found this product referenced in a couple of articles. I figured, what the heck it can’t make it worse. Let me say, I really did NOT expect this to work… especially after one wash! I wish I had taken a before and after photo to support my review but like I said, I had zero expectations. One wash (which is one box of this stuff) and my towel looked brand new again!! Now I’m glad I have a few other boxes on hand if I ever have any more color transfer issues.

This Stuff WORKS
I was devastated when a first-time "color safe" purple item bleed on my pastel-colored tees and nightshirts when also laundering for the first time. I stumbled upon this item and thought "what the heck, items are already ruined" so I gave it a try. AMAZING RESULTS!!!!! The tees and nightshirt came out looking like new EXCEPT for anything BLUE. As this was the primary pigment color I was trying to remove, the product removed that pigment from EVERYTHING. So be aware of the primary pigment you're trying to remove for other garments! Also, be aware that you will need 3 PACKS of the product if you are doing a WASHING MACHINE FULL LOAD. (Thank goodness I ordered the 4-packs)For the reasons of the pigment removal from the other garments and no information given for the amount needed prior to purchasing, I'm giving the product a 4-star rating.

Worked Better on Whites for Me
I attended a historical reenactment in late October. Rain soaked my pants, and they transferred brown dye to my linen shirt below the waist, nylon mesh underwear bottoms and cotton compression socks. I followed the package directions. I started with my tan socks and white underwear. One treatment didn't do the trick, so I tried a second time. It removed some but not all transferred dye. The tan socks lost some color and retained some residue of brown dye. The white underwear bottoms still had blotches of brown dye, but these faded significantly. I had hoped for better results. I decided not to use this product on my linen shirt based on the lackluster performance on my other clothing.

Great product but DO THE COLORFAST TEST!!
My beautiful new dress was accidentally washed with a red sweatshirt. I re-washed the dress with a Shout color grabber but remnants of pink remained on some of the white areas. I then used Carbona Color Run Remover but failed to do the colorfast test first. Big mistake! The product removes all dyes that aren't fully bonded to the fabric. Apparently all the blue dyes in my dress weren't bonded and the product removed all the blue. No more pink, but no more blue either. It's still wearable but not as pretty as it was before. Learn from my mistake and DO THE COLORFAST TEST, which just involves testing the product on a small area.

WORKS but depends on the fabric
I bought some new jeans and mistakenly washed them with a brand new sweater which turned it grey to baby blue. I filled my sink with hot water and mixed in the powder then added my sweater. After a few minutes of swishing it around nothing happened:(. So I took out a crop top that was once tan and white but had been dyed by another pair a jeans over a year ago and was now purple and blue. I dunked it in and it instantly turned back to its original color right before my eyes I thought I was hallucinating. I’ve come to the conclusion that it just depends on the material because my crop top had been stained for over a year with several washes. Highly recommend but just know it only works with some fabrics.

Did a good job of removing dye from sheets.
I was aware from reading reviews that this product cannot always remove stains. I used it to remove dark blue stains from two white sheets. The stains were completely removed from one sheet. The stains were changed to a very light blue color on the other sheet, which looked much better. I am very pleased with the product.

Didn't work for me.
Something navy slipped into my load of lights and bled onto everything. I bought Carbona Color Run Remover and followed the directions. (At no time did I put the clothes in the dryer because that will set the color.). I used it in my front loader , so that was 2 boxes. It didn't work the first time, so as directed, I repeated the process. I used all 4 boxes and no change.

Does NOT Work
Just got the product today, used it on a white T-shirt that got some color run from a new pair of pants in the wash…the white t-shirt remains with a papaya tint! Product doesn’t work as advertised!
