Great all-around flashlight, not just super bright but useful.
I'm a flashaholic... I try to stay away from candlepower forums or the flashlight subreddit, but it's hard... and there are so many good lights to choose from these days. Sometimes I can't resist and another light is added to my collection. This light is different... it's the only one flashlight (other than keychain lights I give to people) that I've bought more than one of. Actually, I'm up to three of these now, one of the originals and two of the upgraded versions. This light is super bright on turbo (not that you'll ever need turbo other than to slap down other lights), has memory for the normal modes, and has a simple UI with memory and with the useless strobe/SOS modes accessible through only through multiple clicks rather than in the normal low/medium/high sequence. Best of all, it has a sidelight for the 99% of times you just need a low-intensity area light when you're in the dark, and the sidelight also has adjustable intensities. And instead of having an 18650 it comes with a 26650, so you don't need to run it as often (or can run it longer) than the lights that have a superbright LED but not enough battery capacity to run the LED very long.If you're in the market for something super bright but on the other hand really practical, this is the light for you.

**NEW DESIGN CONCEPT ,, UTILITARIAN RATHER THAN ESOTERIC☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆**The minute I saw the pictures and web descriptions,, I thought it was going to be remiss.,,,,,, But I decided to give it a try anyway, being a new name and all. ,,,,,,,, So, a mere one day and 2 nights,,, the Amazon delivery van showed up at my driveway. ,,,, The driver,,, unaware of my 16 monitoring security cameras,,, tossed the box so as to land all the way at the edge of the long grass front yard a few feet from the double wide front door. ,,,,,, Don't be alarmed,,, the flashlight was unscathed,,,, well packaged within heavy air pillows in a typical Amazon double walled box. ,,,,, The driver was still, so busted,,, and still images from the security cameras storage card were dispatched to Amazon pronto. ,,,,, Needless to say, it was his last delivery in my subdivision.Back to the flashlight ,,,,,,, Once I opened the box and held it in my hands,,, the initial impression changed rapidly. ,,,, Mind you, the design is still a radical departure from the typical flashlights we've been seeing in the past decade. ,,,,, It is the quintessential minimalist. ,,,, a straight forward, all business like ascetic battery tube barely enough for the huge 26650 high capacity, high discharge 5500mah li-ion that came with it,,, extruded from the slightly larger diameter head that houses the LED chip and its reflector as well as the electronic switching circuit that drives the flashlight user interface. This is all one peace extrusion, machined to a completely smooth touch with one line of straigh knurling for the purpose of providing an added grip. ,,,, It is a radical departure, but one of pleasing initial appeal the is bound to grow even stronger acceptability when the rest of flashlight nakers follow this design feat.Added to this radical approach to design,,, an highly utilitarian secondary side flood light with a maximum of 300lum located at the 180 degree arc angle from the side switch. ,,,, This is a very, very welcome add on which is not,,, by any semblance of a chance,,, another bell or another whistle,,, rather it is of practical utility that has finally shown up in a very practical flashlight. The switching interface is friendly and uncomplicated,,,,, even granma will have fun using it, once she realizes that her doctor would not prohibit her from using it on account of playing with electricity is bad for her arthritis. The battery is gigantic 26650 high capacity high discharge providing ample current for the 3500 lumen max rated power for the Cree XPH-70.2 LED chip.THE holster is a joy to behold. Very tightly hugging the flashlight, and providing maximum protection against abrasion and impact shock. The beautiful machining and hand finishing,,, therefore,,, are well protected. The built-in USB charging port is another welcome feature continued from a tradition exclusive to modern, high end flashlight designed to provide the absolute maximum power out of a single LED projector head in a very small, light design suitable for almost any utility with the exception of very long range throw. ,,,, This light is an 80% flood and only 20% spot making it one of the most highly useful high powered EDC on the market today.I SAW IT ,,, I BOUGHT IT ,,, I TESTED IT ,,, I LIKED IT ,,, AND WROTE ABOUT IT ....!**

Good light, wide beam
This is a really nice light. The single button and "user interface" (choosing btw side light and main beam and power) work very well. I'll never use the strobe or SOS. I do have a less than perfect comment, and I did waffle btw 4 & 5 stars...the beam is pretty wide and the focused spot in the middle is still pretty wide. I would really like a narrower beam. It wastes a lot of light energy lighting up tree tops. For walking out of the woods at night or going out to my large backyard with the dogs, great. For "search", it's just a much wider beam than I'd like. It is definitely very bright on high & turbo, so, nice light, but not quite what I wanted. Ya, I'm keeping it, though. The side light is really nice--perfect for checking maps or whatever vs firing up the mainbeam like I do with my OLights. Being able to use it as a USB charger is a big plus too.

Switch sequence makes common sense
Many of these LED flashlights are bright enough, and have different modes, some of which you may never find useful, such as automatically flashing SOS.This flashlight has a side push button, just like you'd expect. If you press it quickly, the light turns on with the brightness at the last used setting. If you press it quickly again, the light turns off. Just what you would think. You don't have to remember how to drive the damn thing in the middle of the night. When the light is on, a long press will move through the sequence of four brightness levels. When it is off, a long press will turn on a side light, like a map reading light, which is very handy for that sort of thing. When it is off, a quick double press will turn on the quick flash incapacitating an attacker mode, should you want that. It's the most common sense flashlight switch I have seen. Incidentally, a common problem with these flashlights is the buttons are kind of a hair trigger, and in a glove box or something they might get turned on. If you crack the rear battery cap a quarter turn, the flashlight is off. This flashlight, and the slightly smaller Rofis MR50 are both excellent.

A Great Flashlight
I own two of these lights, a first version and an upgraded version. The difference is the sidelight on the newer version is whiter and has a metal bezel around it. Both lights put out tons of light for a good while without getting particularly hot. The sidelight is great for when your eyes are adjusted to the dark and you don't want to blow your retinas. Overall this is a fantastic light. That is why I own two of them. One caveat is that at the time I write this, Rofis' website has been down for some time and doesn't seem like it's coming back any time soon. I don't know who you would contact if you needed warranty service. I have had no problems with either of my lights
