This rice is delicious. My mouth was watering during the cooking process because of the delicious nutty aroma emanating from the pot and then it was love at first taste!!!!

This is very small grain rice dyed black; the water instantly turns black and is eventually re-absorbed in cooking. True black rice is long grain, nutty in flavor and does not discolor your spoon when stirred - usually from Thailand even though it was developed at Louisiana State University. Read the five-star reviews of this product, they all say some variation of ‘its delicious’, but none of them are descriptive or comparative - obviously many are bogus. Low grade imitation from China is a lie.

This product cooks up nice and fluffy. Great tasting alternative to white rice. It has a slightly nutty flavor and doesn't get mushy.

I ordered this in the hopes of adding this to my vegan meal plan. My plan was to sprout the rice and eat it that way. The only thing is the rice never sprouted... I tried several methods to do so, all of which was to no avail. The product is marketed as premium which I thought to mean the best quality, not getting one sprout of this bag seems less than premium.
